About the next gen. of gameing. AKA, Revoultion, PS3, and X-Box 360. There are some rumors about the systems going for 400-500 dollars, and games going for 60-70 dollars. If so, would you still buy one of the systems. I might have to think realistily, and not get one. (atleast until the price drops a lot) What do you guys think.

I definitely WILL NOT buy a system for over 400$. Depending on the games I would pay 60$, though.

As for the Next Gen consoles, I'm very interested. But I won't buy one in the first 2 years I think. I'll wait until prices have settled down. I'll buy (the Nintendo Revolution I think... I'm a Nintendo-er  ) when it's between 100 and 170$.

I've never bought a console at launch. Both the N64 and Gamecube received a massive price cut here only about a couple of months after launch so I think it's worth the wait.

I've also heard talk of game prices going up next generation. To be honest that's probably not a big issue for me as the only games I've bought full price in the last few years are Wind Waker and Mario Sunshine. All the others have either been in sales or second hand.

Mario sunshine was included with my cube. So, for me too, Wind Waker was the only game I payed the full price for and that was about 5800 Yen. :)

The only console I baught at launch was the N64. And after only 4 weeks the price fell. I felt so ... ... you know.
And I baught my famicom edition GBA at launch, for 10800 Yen. That was cheap! :D

I am also a "Nintendo-er". I have all ther systems except some unneccssary gameboys (SP, color), Virt. Boy, and the DS (which I plan on getting). Some how, they always drag me back :) .

The SP isn't unnecessary. It's cool! 8) Much better than the normal GBA.
[hypnotizing voice]get one... get a GBA SP... you need it...[/hypnotizing voice]

I'm positive I won't be getting a next gen console when it first comes out. I'm just now experiencing the wonders of the Cube, and the games I never played since I rebought it. I can wait awhile to see what it's like at store displays, on-line/magazine/peer reviews, as well as price. It's definitely going to be a pricey lot of new consoles, so it'll probably be TOO much to buy right off hand.

I think, I will wait atleast a year to get the Rev. I'm happy right now with my NES, SNES, N64, Gameboy Ad., Playstation 1, and Sega Gensis. :)

I went to Gamestop the other day, and the guy said they will prob. go for 300 dollars. I guess I can afford that, but I'll still wait for the price to drop down.

Thats nuts, $400 bucks for a system. If I were to spend that much money on a PS3 or something, the damn thing better clean my house, wash my car and have dinner ready by 6.

My guess is that it will be $300 for the systems, but you will be required by almost every game store to buy at least 2 games and an extra peripheral with it.

I'll buy the Xbox 360 (I hate that name) once it drops to the $300 CDN mark.

I like all walks of systems. Ive had a NES, a N64, a Sega Gen. , a playstation, a dreamcast, a ps2, a Xbox(3 to be exact), a Gameboy, and a Gameboy Color( i refuse to buy the numerous gameboys). Im going to wait awhile though before buying a PS3 or Xbox 360. I will prb get a Revolution for sure though. I just want to see the dif. b/w PS3 and 360, though it is hard for me not to want to get a 360 just b/c of Halo 3. Im a huge Halo fan, reason being I have had 3 Xboxs.

I will buy the system when it 1st comes out. I will also save the box and everything that comes with, same with the games, so that I will be able to sell it down the line to die hard gamers such as yourselves ;-)

I wouldn't put up that much for a system, but I remember paying upwards of $70 for some N64 games and not really having a problem with it.
