Hi all

I'm new here and Im' happy to enter in the nes world since I have received my twin famicom (Black and red).

And I have some question about this nice stuff that I have bought without box and manual. The reason why I have choosen this one intead of the couple Famicom + Disk System is the RGB output but.... I have only rca cable for the moment and I don't know how to get a RGB cable for my Twin Famicom. Is somebody know what cable I could use ? Where to buy or how to build one ?

And where could I get a scan or a copy of the manual because I see some unknown connectors at the right side and I would be happy to better know my new system.

Else, if I can answer to any question on the twin, I will be happy to make it.

Thanks all, have a good day !
Luke

RGB video output from an NES?

I don't think that's possible, are you positive the twin famicom outputs RGB?

All of the attempts to get RGB from an NES that have had any success involved swapping the PPU chip with one from a Vs, or PC-10 arcade board, which results in a shifted colour pallette...

Would you minf mentioning where you learned of this video output?

actually.. rgb can be hacked out of a famicom titler with almost no work at all.. it's entirely possible the twin famicom has rgb..

can you take some pictures of the ports on the thing?

To answer to the first reply of my message, my sources are some french paper mag. If I find url that tell same, be sure I will share it with you.

If you need another picture, don't hesitate to ask me (I think there is nothing more to show but....)

So have a good day all ! :)

the port with the A after the japanese title is the standard famicom peripheral port. for the japanese zapper equivilant, famicom basic keyboard and various other things. the port with B after it tends to hint it's a second such ext. port, i couldnt tell you what plugs into it though. if there's rgb to it, it'd be from the port which has RF below it.. RF is clearly a form of av, and it really only requires two or three pins.. so that leaves you with a few unknown ones there.

unfortunately i havnt a clue
