The best is a nebulous term. What, precisely, do you want it to do? I mean, they're just cheap-ish imitations of a famicom. It's like many of them will do anything that a Famicom won't. Those pocketfami things look quite neat though. It's a passable handheld, but apparently you can hook them up to a TV and plug in pads and use it like a normal console too. Relatively expensive though, which puts me off a bit. http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?products_id=6347&lsaid=322441

I think mine was made by yobo and it's pretty decent. I'll probably list a few of my famicom systems on ebay soon to thin out the herd some.

I would be interested in Generation NEX just to see how the "stereo sound" function works. ... And the ability to actually play NES carts without getting a flashing screen. http://www.playthenes.com

By the sounds of it, it just splits the NES sound equally across both channels. Though it sounds like games written specifically with the NEX in mind (if there ever ARE any) might be able to make use of it to offer genuine stereo sound, or it may be possible to get true Stereo sound in NES games if someone is willing to hack them, though it would have to be done for every game individually for it to have any effect.
