Yeah, I agree. I think a portable NES is cool and all... but the games themselves make it very much a hassle to have portable. $400 is a bit extreme I would say, but you never know... there are people who may buy it. http://robertlbryant.com

you know someone out there will buy it. I would if I could just pull $400 bucks outta my ass, but I have to work for my money. it is cool though.

If there's only one person who wants it, it's only 299$.
If I won the lottery and had about 50 million $ or so, I'm sure I'd buy that. :P

Well, the one in the link sold for $299. I know it sounds like a lot, but when you stop and think about it... that's a PS1 LCD screen, those go for something like $150 or more alone. Then the cost of an NES console, which in some cases can exceed $50, so we're up to $200 building cost, and that doesn't include the case.. I think it's fair to expect to make $75 for all that work, expecially since he had to design it all himself.

I agree with NES Luke, but I still think it's a fair bit of money. That's not to say I wouldn't buy one if I could afford it. It is very cool indeed

Its made and sold by the god of portable consoles himself, Ben Heckerdon. his consoles are the shizzynit. beleive me his consoles are of good quality, and the price is somewhat fair for the work he puts into them.

come on thats awesome its completely hand constructed which is worth the cost custom work of any sort is costly. and that is a super piece works awesome has a controller port has the cart secure not loosly held by an adapter. 299.00 is again worth a one of a kind piece. ive sold custom action figures for just as much.
