My NES system has started making a pretty loud humming noise in the background during game play through the speakers. Even when the select game screen is on for Mario and duckhunt it makes a loud humming. Any ideas on what might be the issue?

Could it be some type of setting on your speakers? are we talking speakers on a TV? or like surround sound? Could be something wierd on your Amp..

It is through a TV and the TV sound it's self in not the issue nor is it the rf adapter. I hooked up the nes both through the RF and the A/V and got the same results. A humming sound during all game play.

Are there any other electronic devices in close proximity, or even running on the same power breaker? the NES could just be more sensitive to "unclean" power.
