My husband would like to know what is the best emulator for Game Boy Advance or Nintendo DS. He has heard that Visual Boy Advance is a good one but wants some feedback first.

Yup. Visual Boy Advance is the way to go. You can play GBA, GBC, as well as regular GB games on it. Very good emulator.

I agree, VBA is the best Gameboy Advance emu out there. No working emus for DS yet.....one to watch is iDeaS though, I'd say before the years out they'll make a break through.

It's a great piece of software and works flawlessly.

I downloaded the Visual Game Boy Advance and I've been having a blast!!!!
Right now I'm playing a Hamtaro game.... Hamtaro is soo cute!!!! I think I spent 5 hours yesterday playing it! I have it all set up at my friends apt (since he's in Iceland) on his beautiful monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 192n) and have a controller and a couch to lay on and everything!!! I'm soooo happy!!! :D
