I've seen several auctions that are funny to me lately and thought it might be a good idea for a thread.

Here's an auction for a "special" SNES:

HAHAHA! Are they trying to make a bigger profit by marketing that the system is yellowed? Looks like a mouth of a smoker with gum cancer.

Oooooooo. My friends SNES looks like that. How can they say thats "special"? On the box its normal color. It should say "Faded Edition" :P

PLEASE USE THE URL ALIASES WHEN LINKING!

[code:b9add52570]It's ebay![/code:b9add52570]

produces: It's ebay!

it's nice and neat, and doesn't scroll the forums horizontally for 3 miles.

About the auction...

That's disgusting. the only way to fix that is to paint over it too...

I had one like that that I bought at a thrift store. Simple, it's because no one has cleaned it in a long time.

We know that, it's just the fact that they are advertising it as a limited edition kind of thing that's amusing.

I never got the topic title at first and then I read on and when he said "tanned" I was like wait a minute...tanned, theres no tanned SNES I heard of...and then I saw the picture and clearly you can see that the underside is the original colour and the tops been faded. What a joker. BTW he got reported for the ROM auction.

Well the auction has been removed by ebay, so I guess that answers your question! Selling roms breaks ebay policy (it's copyright infingement) so any such auction will be removed if found/reported.

And what did you do?

Hehe, I had been trying for some time to get that linking thing down  So i wouldnt get crapped on for changing the layout of the page or something.

Anyways, that auction was some PSP rom/emulator software, and he had pictures of nes games on a PSP srcreen. It was up to 20.10 even before the auction closed. Dont they realize they can make it on teir own? :?

Looks like it's a Famicom game-cart with a picture of the band Kiss on the front, though the pic is so low res, it's difficult to say for sure.

*imagines a hack of Super Mario Bros 2. with Kiss band members*

Hmm, actually there are 4 kiss Rom hacks of Nintendo Golf, each starring a different member of the band. If there was a legit NES game, I don't know what it was called. Offhand the only two games with Kiss in it I recall were a Pinball game, and "Psycho Circus", which was a first person shooter, so either I'm missing the NES game, or it's some kind of pirate cart.

Im fairly sure after commenting on the FAMICOM Cart, he mentioned a NES game with KISS in the title. He wasnt saying that The cart i showed was a NES cartridge.

PS: Kiss pinball?!?? KICK ASS!! I love pinbal. i bet that game R.U.L.E.S.
