When I first heard about this console I was annoyed that the games were preput on for you. But when I opened my new gamer mag they tell step by step how to mod it to play the old cartridges!!! You guys probably are all smart enough to figure that kind of stuff out but for simpletons like me that is sooo cool! Has any of you tried this out?

I need friends.... I had to nix Tom. He wasn't really my friend. His smile "mocked" me.

Yeah, I think that's pretty cool. I had mentioned this before, and NES-Luke had said that it looks like it'd be pretty tough for the average person to do. I'm going on the hunch that he's right, since he does more mods than I do :P I do think it's cool that they made that option available for everyone.

For anyone that doesn't have a magazine, here's a link that tells you how to do that:

It's released on 10/4/05 and from what I can see the price is about $30.

I will when I have the money and then I'll make my husband mod it (he already said he would) because me with a soldering iron is like giving an infant a knife. I have a shit load of old atari games and my atari is the piece of crap one with the buttons, not the nice switches and the buttons tend to stick because they are so shitty old.

I got the connection to the TV at Radio Shack. It's way better than the way they used to be, too. There are more hook ups now, and you don't have to screw on a seperated adaptor to hook it to the television.
