there are 4 different pcb versions that i know of for the ntsc nes systems. if anybody knows or has a different version please post it in this forum. hes the ones i know of...nes-cpu-07 nes-cpu-09 nes-cpu-11. also i have a nes i purchased in canada and its nes-cpu-10.

Could you go into detail what PCB is for everyone here who doesn't know (including me!) :oops: :D

PCB stands for printed circuit board. in another forum i wrote about nintendo revising thier circuit board so unlicensed and pirated games no longer worked

I wonder if they changed something in the actual hardware, or just revised the software on the lockout chip?

Its probably just newer revisions of the board. There were quite a few different SNES's made aswell.

Infact, it would be very rare for there to be only one revision of the main PCB. Faults are found later after the primary release and different components used also get discontinued so the designs change slightly so manufacturing can go on.

I'm willing to bet that they would also revise the board in an attempt to make it cheaper to manufacture.

I have a rev 10 board that isn't working, and it appears as though some componenets may be missing near U10 - C9 and C1. Is there any chance of finding a schematic or even a clear picture of this rev board so I can attempt to fix my nes? My other nes is a rev 11, and has different parts on it near the section in question. Any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated.
