Now that the Nintendo DS is out, and seems like it is going to be a success (so far), what kind of games would you like to see designed or re-made for it? If it's a remake, what changes would you like to see in gameplay? http://robertlbryant.com

I'm really not sure... I'm not a huge fan of that touch screen... but since I've become such a big MegaMan fan, I'm going to say that I'd like to see a MM game on the DS. Keep with the the classic gameplay, but update graphics, still keep it as a sidescrolling platformer. But make it 3D models and stuff.

Luke, have you USED the touch screen? It's seriously a really fun addition to a gaming system. I'm really looking forward to the new Wario Ware and the new Pokemon. The possibilities for a touch screen for both those games are limitless. As for my OWN wishes? I'd like a Super Monkey Ball, some shooters, and some survival horror titles. Seriously.

Seriously. yes, I HAVE USED the TOUCH screeN, and the thumb nubbin thing sucks, it always slides off your thumb... just using your thumb directly isn't accurate enough, and you can't use the stylus for a real game. in conclusion, the touch screen sucks until they come up with a new thumb stylus or something.

I'd like to see a new CastleVania game. I'm not sure what new they could do with it, but with a touch screen, there could be new innovations. I'm sure something with boss fights will end up being prevelant on the system, for alot of games. I'm sure the DS will have alot of great titles, and alot of new ways of playing. Only time will tell... http://robertlbryant.com

Ah... the NES Files 'Member of Mischief!' I'm sure you're making a reference to Typing of the Dead(?) But something with writing could be possible, and I'm sure made interesting. I doubt writing against zombies will happen, but I could see, say.... a Zelda game with a part that you have to scribe the proper word on a stone tablet. Maybe a symbol. It'd be cool if how much pressure you put on the touch screen was relative as to how deep in you scribe. http://robertlbryant.com

The 'Feel the Magic' game shows just how crazy the touchpad is. In one part you actually blow on the touchpad to put out burning candles on the screen! That's just insane. Maybe we could also have games like 'Tap Tap Finger Revolution' or 'Mike Tyson's Poke-Out' or something crazy. Or literally 'Poke-A-Mon'. I don't expect Nintendo to ignore the use of the touchpad any time soon. It's the most innovative thing about the system. http://www.playthenes.com

The touchpad doesn't impress me as much as the fact that there are two screens, and that it has awesome 3D rendering power, built in stereo speakers, voice input, wireless multiplayer, and actual WiFi support, which could and likely will have internet gaming uses.

Don't understand me wrong. I didn't say that the touchscreen is the best thing about the DS, but the most innovative. It opens up to new game ideas, which you couldn't realize before. E.g. in Feel the Magic, wiping of little scorpions from the girl's body or such things. This is funny and would be hard to do without the touchscreen.
