I got the game off ebay for about $32 and what it keeps doing is loosing its sound where I must go into options and turn it back up and while it keeps doing that the lifes get erase aswell.

by the way its N64 game

Perhaps you should try it on a N64 board.
We're more specialized in the NES. :wink:

But look around some times, maybe somebody knows something.

it could be a dead battery if I understand the problem correctly... should be as simple as opening the cart up and replacing it. most carts use a standard CR2032 button cell (which are very expensive batteries...)

wow i never knew games ran off batterys! thats hilarious i thought they were just well.... i dont no but they have batterys seriously?!

yeah, they use the batteries to keep the data stored on them such as save games, or settings. much like your computer uses a battery to keep the clock settings and other boot settings. it's been that way since the early days of the NES. The Legend of Zelda was the first to use a battery backup that I know of, I could be way off on that though...

I've actually seen that page before, it was quite informative about how the life of the NES went. I suggest everyone give it a read.
