Besides, why would Nintendo release probably successful hardware, when they're making millions off their mushroom armbands and T-shirts.

My NES only went on a long vacation (from 1998-2005). But it came back. It always does..... :D http://www.myspace.com/jennikisaI need friends.... I had to nix Tom. He wasn't really my friend. His smile "mocked" me.

It is backLet's just hope Nintendo doesn't take any legal action. Not that they should be able to, the patent on the NES hardware is now expired, which is why it's just being released now.

i think the only people that want the NES back are the ones that don't have one, or that can't get rid of the "blinking screen". like Daynum said, "My NES never went away." http://www.geocities.com/nes_life = NES_Life http://users.ign.com/collection/campkill1387 = My Collection

Honestly, they bring back the NES or similar hardware officially and the prices for games are gonna skyrocket (Revolution anyone?). You can doubt it if you want, but I don't think Nintendo would be selling games for $5 a pop or anything. The NES doesn't need to return to the mainstream, since serious collectors will always suffer. That, and I really don't wanna see these forums flooded with people that just do it because its popular. My List. Remember, everything can be bought, for a price.
