Metal remixes of the music from Metroid, I think they're very well done, and a pleasure to listen to.

Hey, these are not bad.

Perhaps I'll record those on MD. :)

Mini Disc.

I heard it wasn't popular in the US (nor was it in Germany, but the Japanese love it)

Mini Discs are pretty nice. I have a friend who put Stella and all the Atari games on one. It holds enough info for that, and it's compact! Not bad!

Stella and all of the Atari ROMs is probably under 10 megs :P you could fit that on a couple of floppies :P

Is MD now popular in the US?

The new players are very compact and I think it's a very good thing.
But still more compact, lighter and perfect for me, because I have all my music on my PC, are those USB MP3 players. You can also use them as mass storage devices, which makes them still more interesting to me.
When the 1GB sticks reach prices that I'm willing to pay, I'll probably buy one.
Until that I stay with my wife's MD player.

Apple just announced and released a flash based iPod that sells for $99 USD for a 512MB one, or $149USD for a 1GB one. that might be interesting to you.

Edit the website is http://www.apple.com

Yes, I heard of that apple flash player and it really sounds interesting.
I need to know how good the sound quality is in comparison to other players.

That's interesting.
Such an old system becomes popular again. In Germany it won't become popular any more. They sell it practically nowhere and everybody is buying mp3 players (iPod is a big hit).

Wow, this thread really got way off-topic fast :P

Anyway, time to bring it back from the dead for the n00bs to see, and so I can brag about my CD, T-shirt, and stickers that came in the mail today!

Everyone needs to listen to these tracks, if you enjoy 'em you should send Stemage some money. Maybe order a T-shirt. $10 is cheap for any shirt, especially one with a rockin' Metroid on it!
