Here's some fun for you guys. Every week there will be a new challenge. This is all "as we go," so there could be something entirely different from one week to the next. Everything that happens is all by the honor system. If there is something outlandish that someone claims, it's up to the moderators discretion on how to handle it. Screenshots aren't necessary, but they're nice ;)

There will be this thread (locked) which points to the thread in the appropriate forum for whatever system it's on. If you participate, post in the thread in which the challenge is set. Let's see how this goes...

This challenge is to see who can score the highest in Dragonfire on the Atari 2600. Here's the thread:

Good luck!

Congratulations to greatmightypoo on his winning last weeks challenge!

Alright, the challenge for this week is:

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Chemical Zone - Act 2 Speed Trial!!!

Who can get it in the fastest time???

Here's the rules...

You can save state ONLY ONCE, AT THE BEGINNING OF THE LEVEL! That way you don't have to keep going back to the level just to practice.

Your time stops when you free the animals on that stage.

You must play as just Sonic, not Sonic and Tails, or Tails himself... Only Sonic! To choose to play only as Sonic, on the title screen press down twice to see the Options selection. That is where you can choose to be just Sonic.

Try to get your best score before posting... we don't want others to get discouraged ... eh poo? hahah Feel free to discuss the game on the thread... here it is:

Have fun!

Congrats to ZEN for winning this week ;)

This week is another speed trial, but it's for the classic NES game... Excite Bike! How fast can you complete Selection A, Track 3? Here's the thread.

Have fun!

Sorry about the delay of posting the next challenge, as I've been tied up with post Christmas merriment :) Congratulations to greatmightypoo for winning the last challenge on Excite Bike!

This weeks challenge is another classic game on the NES. Who can score the highest on Donkey Kong? Here's the thread. The game can wrap around as much as you like. As usual, no save states are allowed, and make sure if you're using an emu that 'Cheats' is turned off... ahem... Javi ;)

Good luck all!

And this week the challenge will be Balloon Fight for the NES.

Due to the totally lacking participation in the last challenge, I won't be posting anymore challenges.

We offered a prize, gave heaps of time for everyone to see the challenge, and we had two scores posted... TWO.

I don't want to read any more posts whining about how it's been this long without a challenge... etc. We go through the effort to come up with the challenges that everyone cries for, and nobody participates.

This challenge did require more effort than previous challenges, but nobody even tried... it's honestly not worth the effort if only two people are ever going to attempt it.

New challenge. Supposedly there are two endings to this game... either ending you can obtain is fine. As usual, no Game Genie use or save states allowed.

Conquer Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde for the NES. Have fun with this one.

Here's the thread
