The first ridable animal in Golden Axe is the same monster that you can fight in the swamp level of Altered Beast. New discovery: Ever played Gauntlet: Legends and Gauntlet: Dark Legacy? Well, if you haven't you can find an egg powerup and temporarily turn into Pojo, the magical firebreathing chicken. That's not the discovery. The discovery is that Pojo is a secret cameo character in Midway's Mace: The Dark Ages for the N64. Apparently, this is common knowledge, but I'll be damned if I had ever heard anything about it, and I love the game.

It has a deadly poisonous tail, which it attacks with. Apparently, it can be "tamed" though. 'Altered Beast' presents us with the wild, untamed Chicken Stingers. http://www.playthenes.com

I've been playing through Wagyanland (odd game), when I was struck by an uncannily familiar symbol in one of the boss fight/word games.

Question: What in the blue hell is with little preschool frog toys hidden throughout Metal Gear Solid 3? Are they a secret? An in-joke? What?

You have to find one in each screen and shoot them. I _think_ you end up getting the stealth suit if you get them all... I never really took the time to do it, as my patience gets worse and worse as time goes on  http://robertlbryant.com

The old NES cart Stinger by Konami was full of this kind of secret crap, I never could tell what it all meant.

SPECIAL FAN SERVICE EDITION! Rock 'n Roll Racing just shot up from "Dennis Leary" to "Fonzie" on the Cool Meter. Also, there's an electro remix of Vampire Killer in Contra: Hard Corps. If you already knew that, kindly screw yourself. Because I didn't.

I really don't know why it took until you said that for me to realize it, I've listened to the soundtrack for Hard Corps several times... the specific track in the GYM/VGM is called "Simon 1994RD"
