Pretty much all gaming magazines have decreased in quality since their creation. The amount of advertizing in them is just obscene, and prices are worse than ever before. At lot of them cost around $10-$11 Canadian when they used to be in the $8 range.

Game game mags are quite expensive...
The most expensive German game mags cost 4.99 Euro, which is around 6 US$. Not that bad when you consider that a DVD comes with those.

There is really not a point to buy Game mags when you have the Internet.

I agree about the Internet point. If you want a walkthrough or code, just try IGN. And ads for new games are no trouble to come by.

I first bought FFIII when it first came out. It was retailed at $80. That was one of the most, if not the most expensive retail game for the SNES. Well worth it back then IMO. I was already into RPG, but this just made my love for them even more solid.
