How do I get there? I try over and over and over and over and over again. Please give me detail of how to get there (by the way, I am playing the original Super Mario Bros. game so it doesn't have to do with the fact that it might be fixed or sothing....)

coming in soon and stuff...

There was that glitch level that's real popular and I heard aobut it on TV, my book, the web, everywhere. I just really want to go there because they claimed that it was an endless level.

I never heard of level 36-1.

There's a level 0-1... and a minus world. Maybe it's this.

Or you can try to jump over the flagpole in certain levels, then you can run and run until time runs out. Happened to me one time.

A little research (really little, takes about 3 seconds with broadband connection) brings me to this page.

Please at least try to do a little research before you post your questions here. The minus world has been talked about several times on this forums. Even this forums have a SEARCH function, which comes in quite handy from time to time...

May 16th...

Really? I've tried to do that several times, but I've never made it...

Actually, not all was thinking. Some was plotting, some was planning, and finally the explaining of my plan which I plotted after I thought of it.

pretty sure he means world -1.

go to level 1-2, get a mushroom, go to the end of the level and stand on top of the pipe to get to level 1-3. knock out the second block closest to the pipe. go directly under the hole you created, duck and while halfway through your jump press right. if done right, you will slide through the wall.

there is realy no point to it, unless you want to get to world 5 in which you take the middle pipe. the other two pipes take you to world -1 where you will lose all your lives.

I just beat the super mario bros 2 world record!

Yes, he probably does, because it is 36-1 but since there is only one digit there the 36 Was too big, thus, it appears as a blank, not really Negative 1

....

...

You realize the - doesn't signify negative?

It connects the level and world.

i have super mario bros(usa cart) and have done the -1 a.k.a. 36-1 "glitch". same as 2-1 but keeps repeating the level until i lose all my lives. HOWEVER, i also own a famicom disk system and have the disk version of super mario bros. When the glitch is done on this version it takes you to a TOTALLY different -1 a.k.a. 36-1 (its NOT the same as 2-1) but with a flagpole at the end! then its on to -2 a.k.a. 36-2. Then after that is -3 a.k.a. 36-3. When you get to the end of -3 there is no bowser just the axe. then it says princess is in another castle but with no toadstool. then when "B" button is pressed it takes you back to the title screen and acts like you beat the game! then by pressing "B" button it lets you select a world (1-1 2-1 3-1 4-1 5-1 6-1 7-1 or 8-1) to start on!

found this site showing the difference between the U.S. cartridge and the famicom disk version. i think it would be more fun to try it yourself by getting a famicom disk and then getting super mario bros disk for it.
