Hi, I'm trying to download the super mario music that was remixed and, I think, released as a single. I think it may have been the music from super mario land 1 on the game boy, but I can't be sure. If someone could tell me the artist, or name of the track, I'd be very happy, thanks!:D

Well if you're talking about the remix from the early 90's I can tell you that it was definitely Super Mario Land and it was indeed released as a single. I used to have it on tape but unfortunately I can't remember what it was called or who it was by. There was also a similar Tetris remix done about the same time. I don't know if it was the same artist.

I don't know if you're still looking for this, but I was reading an old magazine earlier and came across a news piece on this. The CD is simply called Super Mario Land, it's from the Ambassadors of Funk (featuring MC Mario) and is from Living Beat Records. Hope that helps!

Only just noticed this reply. Now I'm looking for the original SMB1 music, for remixing in my music tech studios here at university. I'd really appreciate a PM or something, if anyone knows where I can find it.
Thanks for finding this guys!

I believe all sorts of stuff like original game MIDIs are right here on the NES files. As to the policy of taking and remixing them, I'm not so clear, but it's all definately listenable here!

If you think you're right, you're probably wrong.
If you think you're wrong, you're being negative.
My thoughts are definitive; the universe is frequently wrong.

The midis are nice, but to get that 8-bit sound, I need the exact originals. If I do come up with something, I'll let you know!

The closest you're going to get would be the NSF file.
