How's it going everyone? I'm at this local net café. I'm not certain on how many Simpsons seasons there is. On the internet I've heard that there's 17 or 18 seasons, but I've only seen and own 8 seasons. Can anyone help me out here?
Actually, not all was thinking. Some was plotting, some was planning, and finally the explaining of my plan which I plotted after I thought of it.

I know there were quite a few seasons of Simpsons, something like 17 or 18. You have probably only seen/own 8 of them because that is all that they have released on DVD so far. I'm pretty sure its still a working progress, so wait another few years and they should all be released.

According to wikipedia, there have been 17 and they're working on 18 this year. This sounds right to me and backs up what Logan says. They have only released up to and including season 8 yet.

As David said. In the USA season 18 is now in the run. Episode 10 of season 18 will be on the air tomorrow and be titled "The Wife Aquatic". Have a look here. I always watch the new episodes by downloading them from trackers like mininova. New episodes are usually up on the Monday after the airdate. On DVD you can buy 8 seasons.

Season 9 is coming out in a couple of weeks here. So far I only have seasons 2 and 7, but I want them all eventually! Well actually I may stop at around season 11 or 12.

In have the seasons until 7. My "Marge head" season 7 is actually the UK version. It was only about 23 Euro, so I had to get that. I don't need the German dub anyways.
I need season 8, but I'll wait until that's become cheaper.
I guess I will buy all other seasons, too, just because of blind fan love and stupid loyalty. :wink:
I hope to have a good (by that I mean well paid) job in the future, so affording some measly DVD (or whatever format) box sets shouldn't be a problem. :P

I've been tempted to pick some of the seasons up. At Barnes and Noble out here they have BOGO *buy one get one* on TV show DVDs $29.99 and up. Yesterday Skarpo picked up ALF 1&2.

18 seasons.
I got season 8, I may get season 9 after that it can go to hell and piss off. seasons 10 onwards are terrible. simply terrible.

I don't know about that, but I find the more recent episodes trying to be like Family Guy in some parts, like the independance on random comedy.

Great, thanks to all. I thought it was a bit odd that I could only find 8 seasons in the stores when I thought it was supposed to be a total of 18. So they haven't come out on DVD yet then, that's good news for me since I collect them. :)
