I am enjoying the game of the week posts. I had been away from the site for a long time, but once I came back and noticed that this had started, it resparked some interest.
I would love to see a thread on the NWC cart, and I would guess that there are a lot of people that could contribute to that topic.
Other popular choices could be Mike Tyson’s Punch Out or Kung Fu.

David & rizz, your picks are on the list. :) I saw that participation got better the last days, so I will be happy to do the GotW for longer.

I'm making another one. I don't even care whether it counts or whatever, I just want to make one. I'll put it up soon.
And I nominate Guerilla War, purely because of my beloved 1 against 100,000 game element.
If you think you're right, you're probably wrong. If you think you're wrong, you're being negative. My thoughts are definitive; the universe is frequently wrong.

Due to massive spam attacks and my master's thesis due in about 3 weeks there won't be a Game of the Week for an unspecified time. I just don't have the time. Maybe it will be up again later.
It takes 10-15 minutes every day to delete all the spam around here, it's not funny any more. Derek (the site owner) doesn't seem to take care or even notice of any email sent to him about the matter. Please complain to him if you have complaints...

Since this site has become "Spam Central", how long do you think it will continue to be up, manuel?
Actually, not all was thinking. Some was plotting, some was planning, and finally the explaining of my plan which I plotted after I thought of it.

I'd like to keep the site up as long as possible. We must make Derek to put up an effective mechanism to prevent spam.
I think we should only allow new members to post who are approved by an admin or a moderator. This way there would be no more spam attacks. We have so few new members that actually post something, so this method should work very well I guess.

Problem with that setting is that admin authentication sends an email to Derek, who seems uninterested in the site at all, so new users would likely never be approved.

That's bad. :?
I hope there's something that can be done about the spam problem.

Wouldn't you have the authority to handle matters like that? I think that you should be responsible, since like you said, Derek is pretty uninterested.

Well, I enabled admin authentication. which is pretty much going to disable registration, as Derek receives the email to allow or disallow the account. EDIT: I guess I receive them too, so perhaps this will work.

Hooray! No more "do you like spandex http:///[img][ulrs.g[jtoisdalgljsexbuttfucksljlkgoeithklshlkg!!!!" Although, I found some of those to be humorous. Like the one that said a bunch of 2 line posts "Britney doing a hung guy!!!!" followed by link... Ahh.. those were comical.
"So this is how I get demoted to canning fish every day until I die!"

I usually don't follow such links, because you're most likely to catch a virus on such pages.
Let's hope the spammers don't come through again.
I receive the mails for user authentification, too. :) One was for "xanax-buy-online.com". This is the newest member now... how has activated that one? Was it Derek? :? :?:

I that so? If so, please ignore the pm I sent about the matter. :) Then, that's cool. 8)
If the spammers aren't activated, the problem should be solved. Hooray! :D

With the spam problem under control, I think I might me able to continue with the "Game of the Week" series.
All I need is input from you. PM me the games you want to see as GotW, or post them here.
