hey guys new here... wondering if anybody has one and has anything to say about it? I got 2 silver, and one Red & white coming in the mail that I picked up off ebay.

I know the NES top loader 101 is the best and I have 2 myself, but this new neo-fami looks really nice. and I'm thinking I can use one of them to play on and keep my top loaders stored away.

what I know about the the new fobo fc Game console :

-Plays US carts, PAL carts, and Import Jap carts.
- Now capable of using original NES controllers and accesories (light gun)

anybody have one and can tell me hands on what it's like?

I bought myself one of the red and white ones. Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with it. People complain about the sound chip stinking up something feirce, but I do not hear a difference. It works fine, and has no blinking screen of death.

I have one :)

I'm very happy with it, it's nice and small and works (so far) everytime no problems what so ever. I guess if I had an official NES top loader, I would use that, but I don't.

I put in SMB3 and played the first level on my Neo Fami, to test out the sound / graphics. (I've played SMB3 so many times on an original NES, I figured I would notice differences).

I did notice that the graphics seemed kind of brighter, than on an original NES, and that the sound was in fact different. In some cases, it sounded better than the original (as in better quality) and in mostothers it sounded slightly worse or original.

I'd say it's worth it, just get it as cheap as you can.

Also, you get 2 controllers with "slow" (probably by pausing quickly, I haven't used it yet) and turbo functions, which also will work in your original NES :)

Plus, the Neofami has a/v outputs which (unmodified) NES top loaders do not...

i have two of them, theyre made under the name Yobo, not fobo.
but anyway, im very happy with them. the colour and sound are not perfect to the original nes, but the sound difference is minor, and i actually prefer the colours from the yobo rather than the nes.

ya I meant Yobo. little typo I didn't even notice.

I got a couple this week in the mail. They are really nice. work great. the controllers suck but you can use the original controller with it. so it's perfect.

$30 off ebay can't go wrong. use this to play on, and preserve your original NES

to add to the post I had before this, it would cost $119.98 USD for the NEX System with one wire controller & 2 wireless controllers. if you ask me for the style of the system and the classic look of the controllers and the fact that it plays NES & Famicom games, it makes this a sweet deal. (free shipping on preorders, so Im trying to save up fast.)

I just picked up a Yobo my self and I am really impressed by it.

It's only got a 200mA converter powering it which leads me to believe it would serve well hacked up into a handheld. I guess I could always buy a pocket famicom, butthat wouldn't be as much fun.
