The power glove controls your games.

Get one when you can. It's cool. Also see: EvilNES-threads. :o

There's a game called Super Gloveball, which the power glove was produced for.
Since I don't own one I don't know whether you can control other games with it, too.
I thgink you can, because it has a d-pad and buttons on it.

oh, it's better than that!

You can play Mario with it, move him by moving your arm, make him jump by bending your fingers, shoot fireballs by bending other fingers!

now that everyone is excited and in love with it...

IT SUCKS!

it's a pain to set up for one thing, with the reciever, and the little box, and then plugging that into the NES...

it doesn't work well at all due to the fact that it relies on sounds to detect movement.

and lastly, your arms get tired REAL fast... imagine holding your arm our straight for the entire time you play SMB for a few hours...

it came from a deal that was supposed to be a whole pile of NES stuff, it ended up being about 3 carts, and the glove :P

There's also Bad Street Brawler that was part of the "Power Glove Gaming Series." ;)

I have to agree with what has been mentioned before - the Power Glove sucks. It's a great idea in theory, but it's not very practical. Setting it all up is definitely a pain, and it isn't the most accurate either. I tried it once, and then put it back in its box for good ;)

It's basically a NEs controller in the form of a glove. It has buttons on it and re-acts to yuor hand movements. Nintendo at the time was trying to get the most impressive equipment to out due it's on coming competition, but since it was one of the first shots at using somthing other then a normal controller, you could tell the quality was not perfect.

The SNES came out in '91, the Genesis in '89. and honestly, you don't release a gimmicky accessory to try to sway people from a new, and greatly improved console.

Did the power glove come before or after "The Wizard". If it came after, then it could have just been a marketing gimmick after the movie came out.
