I made a Quick Reference NES Rarity Guide today, based on Digital Press' Online Rarity Guide. It contains all U.S. Games with either a rarity of 5 or more, or games that are worth more than $5.

Quick Reference NES Rarity Guide

At only 3 pages, I think it's a handy, compact guide to bring along to yard sales and pawn shops. I hope you guys enjoy it.

If you see any errors, let me know in this thread and I can update the guide.

Hey, that does look really good! That should make things a little faster for look-up while online, as well.

Good job man!

Repost? Sounds like it'd be a valuable little scrap of paper.

Oh sorry. I forgot about this and I donated my (mostly) unused webspace to some people. I'll repost it with some other webspace when I get home from work.

Quick question about the guide..

Where is North and South? I know that the value of it is over $5.

Just wondering.

Thanks

This list only has U.S. game releases to keep it compact. Sorry.

I haven't looked at the list yet, but if it was not included on the list because of that, then that's incorrect. North and South was released in the US.

Thanks for the heads up. As I said, this list is completely based on Digital Press' online guide. They have the game listed as a Non U.S. Release.

Here's what they have to say about the game:

Game Name: North and South
Platform: Nintendo NES
Category: Non-U.S. Game Releases
Manufacturer: Kemco
Rarity: 0
Release Date: 09/21/90
Country: Japan

If you aren't familiar with Digital Press' guide, a rarity of 0 means that they haven't entered a value yet, so it could be very rare, or very common. They don't list a U.S. Version.

What's the Nintendo product code on the cart?

They do have it listed, but as "North & South" rather than "North and South". It's an $8 R4.

Oh thanks. I wish they would upgrade their search algorythms. It should have found the game with the search I entered. I'll update the list when I get the chance.

I just did a search for all U.S. NES games worth over $5, and North & South was returned as a result. This either means Digital Press has updated the North & South entry in their guide since I made the list, or I just missed that title both times I checked through it to verify its completeness.

Thanks for the info everyone.

If you are talking about the link for Mr DNA's guide, you have to use the one he gave half way down the page rather than the one in the first post.

If you are talking about the Digital Press link, that site has been down all day. Hopefully it'll be back soon!

I've put the file on some free file hosting. Hopefully this link will last longer than the others. I never updated the guide, so it's probably full of incorrect values. It should still be helpful though.

Download NESQuickRef.pdf

They seem to have a strange anti-bot strategy. You have to click a few times to get to the actual file.
