Check this video out. Some guy manages to beat Super Mario 64 in under 21 minutes using a variety of glitches, tricks and other time-saving tactics to beat the game. I never thought it was possible to get up those stairs which led to the last Bowser unless you had 70 stars but he managed it. This guy is a true pro. http://www.spikedhumor.com/Article.aspx?id=238

That's definately rad. I was so awful at that game. But kudos to her/him. I didn't watch it through the end, and I hate to be a negative guy, but there isn't a running score or much unique going on, so a save state and video editing isn't out of the question. but that doesn't matter. i'm impressed either way.

i'm impressed either way. often times these speed runs are done just that way, which doesn't deserve much credit other than for video editing skills. but anyone can do that with enough time on their hands. That said, I'm not sure it's emulated, which would rule out save states. it looks pretty true to the hardware. On closer inspection, the explosions from bowser hitting the bombs don't look true to hardware, it may be emulated. it's hard to tell with such low quality video.

I saw that some months ago and I must say it's impressing, no matter if it's fake or not. :) But I won't try it. When I play the game I want to enjoy it. And getting 70 stars isn't so difficult either.

I finished the slide under 15 seconds :D . Next is trying the rabbit thing, but I doubt it would work...

That guy showed me tricks, that I never even could think about on my own, although I've beaten the game and I've got all the 120 stars, but I want to try all the tricks he did! That was really cool! 8)
Actually, not all was thinking. Some was plotting, some was planning, and finally the explaining of my plan which I plotted after I thought of it.

I really have to get Mario 64 for the DS... Yes you should. I was really into it, but i stopped (I think at 117) because I've got 120 stars so many times on my N64 game.

That was pretty cool. What I thought was questionable was how he did the flying jump every where he went and did not fall off a ledge.

Well, I fly jump a lot, and I really don't fall much. I guess, you get use to it, if you beat the game 4 times.

Yeah, that's all a matter of exercise. 8)
Play until you know every level like your pocket, and you'll hardly fall down. :)

That was really insane, especially near the end. I knew about the slide trick, I remember reading about in a Nintendo magazine when the game had just been released. That Rabbit trick, i'm going to have to try that out. :)
