Im looking to pick up a gamecube, mainly for the new zelda game. I also love those damned sonic games too... anyways, my pawn shop is selling a good condition black Gamecube, with all hookups and one controller. They have it listed for $ 80.00 I have 60.00 now and just wondering if it is worth the money. im pretty sure t is, but im just checking. I just missed a deal; my friend was selling a GC, wireless controller, normal controller,RF hookup, all other wires, and 7 games for 200.00. but i didnt have jackall money so im thinking of buying the 80.00 one.
(all prices are Canadian)

I think you can pick up a new 'Cube for something like $129 Canadian with a game, and a warranty. if I were you, that's the route I'd go. buying used disc-based consoles is always a little sketchy... Just keep in mind that the $80 doesn't come with a game, unless you forgot to metion that. so you'll have to add at least another $20 on to that.

Cubes new are under $100 US and used ones from a store (ebgames, etc.) are like $69 I think. I'd check a couple on ebay and offer what they are getting.
I'll probably get one pretty soon and I might actually buy it new since there isn't much price difference.

You should definitely get one soon, and as Luke said, better buy it new. They are so cheap these days and you get a warranty.
Or you wait longer. Perhaps there's a Gamecube bundle with the Twilight Princess in it.

If you have a local GameCrazy, (they are in Hollywood Video), you should get one there. You can get a warrenty, and get 12 free rentals.

The only strictly-video game place i have here is a small ebgames that is like 10' x 10'. I think the used ones there have a 100 % gaurentee on them. Ill probably get one there, instead of the pawn shop. I dont think i could wait until twilight princess comes out!! I need to play some sonic.. Thats the first game i get sonic DX. I cant find work to get mre money, so ill just wait for my damn allowances to add up to enough.

If you are a patient person and a true nintendo follower that plans to get the Rev, just wait. Remember that the Rev will play old games including GCN ones. the game comes out 1 yr before the Rev so it's not THAT long a wait. Save your money, you will just le go of the GCN when the Rev comes out. Nothing special came from the GCN any way

I wasnt aware that the rev was backwards compatible! :o But how much is that puppy gonna cost? 300 +? I dont think i could hold money that long... And i doubt will wait a year to get twilight princess. Ill just buy my GC now, then get the rev a year or so after it comes out, because i want to own every ninteno console... solution: Ill gt both the Rev and the GC! :P

Nintendo saiud that they want to make the Rev as cheap as possable. A lot of people are saying 200 dollars for the Rev. Also, I want to get every Nintendo system, but I just don't want to spend money on Virtual Boy, or N64 DD, etc.

first of all, Twilight Princess is coming out this fall/winter. Revolution is currently slated for March - Summer of '06 a lot less than a year. what the hell does GCN stand for? GameCube Nintendo? GC, or NGC... the PS3 is expected to cost $500 USD, and the Xbox 360, since MS can afford to lose money on the hardware in order to make it back on software sales, is predicted to be between $299, and $360

(Gamestop, and Ebgames has that as their date) Also, the Rev is not coming out in March. Nintendo said that they will show almost everything at E3 2006.

I'd love to find a Virtual Boy and a N64 DD in Japan. I'll probably browse around yahoo auctions a lot, maybe I run into a cheap deal or two. :) 360$ would be an appropriate price for the XBox360... I think Revolution could be somewhat around 249 at the beginning. Just an intuition, though.

Dude I got mine on July 9th for 59.99 in GOOD condition. Nothing wrong at all with it.... It was from EB Games.
Maybe it's better if I didn't have an avatar so i didn't have to spend all my time making one...

ive always found it better to buy my consoles brand new and get the games used. u can always clean the games but if the console is beyond cleaning the lens, u hav to pay some serious money to get it fixed. and ps3 is going to be $500 US but it will be worth it...

I have got my GameCube and Sega Saturn second hand and they worked perfectly. $500 is still a hell of a lot, but it's probably the least likely of the next gen consoles i'm going to get.

I know you can get good consoles second hand but ive found it better to just dish out the extra cash even if its just for the warranty. the PS3 is supposedly better than almost any supercomputer. but who knows it could be a dud.
