You know how Dragon Warrior IV, and Chrono Trigger, and Bubble Bobble part 2, are all very rare, and cost 50 dollars or more. What do you think are the games that will be like that for Gamecube, PS2, or X-Box. Think from 15-20 years from now, what games will be very rare. .

I think Ikaruga, and the limited edition pack-ins, like Zelda Master Quest, and the Zelda Collector's edition will be worth something eventually.

I think Atelier Iris Mana and Suikoden will be like those you mentioned.

Usually games that were released near the end of a systems life become quite rare in future years because there is a relatively short period of time between when a game first hits the shelves and when shops stop selling games for that system. Therefore I'd say some of the rarest PS2, Xbox and Gamecube games are yet to be released.

Well, I thought about it, and most older RPGs seem pricey, so I'll say most RPGs.

I'd think Ico. They went out of their way to make it a work of art, making it an instant cult classic. And I don't know many people that still own it...

I think it will definitely be the odd ball stuff. Bjingai: TFC, Disgaea, and any of those other good but obscure titles.

I bought marvel vs. capcom 2 for PS2 for 29.99 at Target when it was released. Now it's like 56 dollars at Ebgames, their prices are outrageous sometimes though..However, on ebay, Buy it nows for around $60 and an auction at 56. I'm also pretty sure REZ is fairly expensive on ebay (for the US release). Those are the only ones I know of right now that have gone up in value.

I would have to agree that Most RPG's will probably be pretty rare. But i was thinking, CD based games wont last as long as cartridges right? Sure, if they are kept in the case and rarely played will be ok, but if you ket connectors dirty on a catridge game, you can usually clean it off right? But if you, say make some sort of deep scratch on a CD game, your kind of up sh*t creek without a paddle??

My Mario Party 4 game has a lot of scratches on it (because I play that with my friends a lot). So I'm real careful with it, but isn't there a CD cleaner?

yea, i saw them using one in my rental store, i think its like a thing you put the CD's in and crank a handle to fill in he scratches or somthing? :idea:
