Did you happen to play
EVERY so called "crap game" on the PS2, or are you just "wishfully thinking"?

Isn't it a company's job to "cash in" on their products? Much like Nintendo does with Mario and all of their other overused characters (as most people can't get enough of it).
"David sadly also" wrote:Also, I feel the only reason they included the MP3 player and all that crap is probably because they know the standard of games is going to be lame and have to make it up by adding a few "feautures"
Being able to play mp3s isn't going to do anything to improve games (that should be obvious). It is an included "feature" because it adds another element of portability to a system that takes advantage of the abilities of it's hardware.

Ridiculous. A new iPod costs around $250-300 (US). There's nothing wrong with a console that can do more than just playing games (just because Nintendo chooses to take the "only plays games" route, doesn't make that the "rule of thumbs").
With the PSP, Sony is appealing to both the gaming community and the portable media player crowd. In my opinion, it's a smart move on their part.
As for the "quality" of PSP games so far, it's still too early to determine the potential of it's "gaming abilities". However, I'm sure the PSP can do just about anything that the PS2, PS1, GBA, N64, DreamCast, Genesis, Super Nintendo, and NES could do also.
