mod delete this if its been done. List the top 10 or 5 or whatever games you think are some of the strangest ever. I would have to say a lot of atari games are pretty damn wierd ie: custers revenge, x-man, beat um and eat um, gigalo, mario's time machine, and bachlor/bachlerette party. I had to throw in marios time machine cause, well I'm sure you can figure it out.

Katamari Demacy for the PS2 is pretty amned weird. At the start, you et like singing cows, and then your a dude with a rectangular head that rolls a big ball with axes and mailboxes etc. Weird.

Took care of it. When I think of weird, the first thing that comes to mind is the Oddworld games. Not only are they weird, but they're really cool! Puzzle-type-strategy games... with rather, well... odd characters. Decap Attack for the Genesis is strange. You attack by throwing your head at the enemies! I think you have eyes on your body as well, if I remember correctly. Really weird :o http://robertlbryant.com

The oddworld games were wierd and fun. Especially as you could fart in them.

Speaking of games with farting, i think the first GTA, you could walk around and press R2 (?) near people, they say something like "F*ck off you sick bastard* or something. I thought it was pretty funny.

I'm pretty sure that stretch panic tops the list easily for myself. Katamari is wierd, but it 'makes sense' once you figure out what's going on. At least that was the way I felt about it. There was a definitive flow and direction to the game. So many early games lacked documentation that would make the game a lot more bearable. Like trying to play Shingen the Ruler without seeing the label art once. Oh, god forbid, as somebody mentioned trying to jump into mario is missing. THe way stretch panic is made you know that you're making progress and doing the right thing, but all along the way you're not sure of why you're doing it and what is right vs. wrong. But then again I am dense in the head. Chibi-Robo has a good chance at being wierd.

Chibi-Robo has a good chance at being wierd. I had completely forgotten about Strech Panic! I only got maybe 1/2 way through, I got confused. I thought the big boobed ladies were funny! http://www.myspace.com/jennikisaI need friends.... I had to nix Tom. He wasn't really my friend. His smile "mocked" me.

Seaman rocked! I would like to mention every Atari porno game, starting with Custer's revenge (you rape a Native American tied to a cactus). Very bizarre. I would also like to mention Okage Shadow King (PS2). That game did NOT get the recognition it deserved. Description (EDIT-This is a better description than mine was, and conveyed the true meaning of the game. You can read the full review here.) "Once upon a fish, in a land far away (yet closer than you think), a scatterbrained father decided to sell his son's soul to an evil demon king named Stan in order to save his daughter from speaking Pig Latin for all eternity. The evil demon king Stan, being evil, attached himself to the boy's feet, made the boy his evil demon king slave, and turned the boy's sister's shadow a lovely shade of fluorescent pink. Eventually, the boy teamed up with a girl with a fighting parasol and an unusually insane scientist with a penchant for ghosts and not making sense, and together the three of them went to the big clock in the middle of the sea. Ay-yup. If you think non-sequitur madness is something sorely lacking in today's RPGs---and don't really care about stuff like "deep gameplay" or "logic"---then Okage: Shadow King is the game for you. "

And I thought I was the only person to play Okage! Gotta love him, he was such a jerk. Sadly like much games, I never did finish it. I got lost in some caves (or it might have been a labyrinthy type thing). Then I got pissed (after days and days of being completely lost), then I thought I'd even the score and sell it. (Don't ask, my thinking isn't always rational)
