Okay, have any of you played this game? Do any of you own it? I JUST heard about it the other day and, being a HUGE fan of the Castlevania series, I wanted to know more about it. I checked at EBay and it is always listed as "Rare" and is kinda high (way out of my SNES price range). What do you all think of it? Is it really that rare? What price would you pay for it??

Those are screenshots from Super Castlevania IV over there )

I've got a Japanese copy of Dracula XX. Can't remember how much I paid, but I was on a Castlevania buying streak, and it's in pretty good condtion, so probably a fair bit.

It's not a bad Castlevania game in it's own right, but it's a LOUSY port of Dracula X. The graphics have taken a pounding, and most of the more interesting features of PCE Drac X (like playing as Maria or the multiple routes to Dracula) have been removed. It winds up playing a lot like the original NES Castlevania.

There's a review (and some screenshots from Drac XX) over at the Castlevania Dungeon.

My brother has this game. I have codes for it poking around, I believe I played this game back in 1998...so I can't remember it at all. I have been trying to get this game as well.

'Castlevania: Dracula X' is a decent action game. I am dissappointed by it's lack moves compared to 'Super Castlevania IV'. The levels aren't as unique either.
There's something missing from this game (possibly the "adventure" element from the original 'Castlevani: Rondo of Blood').

Some of the boss fights are good though. I would still call it a "must play" for any hardcore Castlevania fan. It certainly feels like 'Castlevania'.
