There was recently a topic about pixel art, and I couldn't resist posting these. I made these over the summer. My plan was to make a walkthrough of CastleVania II in this style, but it became to much work and not enough time in the end. I made these with MSPaint, and I think they turned out quite nice for such a weak program. Any feed back is always welcome. I'm no artist, so I know they aren't great.

This one is where I left off, the mansion is rather large, and I never found time to finish it.

Hopefully I will get back to doing it sometime. I think it would be a really cool project to complete. We'll see...

Wow, that's a LOT of work. Those look cool though. I'd like to make a walkthrough for an NES game. Might be a fun project.

You did that with ms paint. Good lord what patience. that is very impresive. If I didnt know u were an honest man id call u a lier. That kind of creativity is unbelievable. You r a great asset to the nes files. One who truly appreciates the nintendo as well as simons quest. You r very well appreciated to even attempt such a task. There should be awards in these forums for people like u.

Thanks. It did take alot of time. Luckily my wife reads alot and my son plays with his TMNT toys. That gives me the TV and the computer to use. I had the game on pause for long periods of time on different spots trying to get it to look right. Like I said, I want to start work on it again, but right now I've been undertaking other tasks.

That is almost godly. I hope you do finish that (for a walkthrough or something) because you've already done way to much work for it not to be noticed and/or appreciated. Even with copy-and-paste, that is some very accurate detailing!

Is your TV and PC in the same room at least? I'm trying to imagine a guy running back and forth from one to the other just to tweak the background graphics to perfection.
From my standpoint, it looks like you've succeeded!

Wow. So much for my lousy Bowser pixel art.

...

Maybe I shouldn't have neglected MSpaint so eagerly.

My TV is in the same room, as a matter of fact! It used to be on the other side of the room, though, and I literally would be running back-and-forth. Usually just to count the bricks. Most of the background was visible from where I was sitting.

As for your last statement, please DO neglect MSPaint! It's for us amateurs that have dense skulls and can't understand the newer (better) programs! :D
