Hey folks!

My name is Giovani, aka CospeFogo (SpitFire) and I am happy
to find a place like this. I am just another NES/Famicom lover
out there searching for good friends who share the same passion.

I have been playing for many years, did pass for all gaming
plataforms, but for sure the most exciting were the NES, SNES and
Mega Drive.

Nowadays I am 28 years old, and thanks to the internet I was
able to get a lot of stuff for my humble collection. I am fascinated
for the japanese gaming world. All I have is from Japan. All my NES
games are - to be sincere - famicom ROM cassetes. All my consoles
are japanese NES units, including a boxed Famicom Disk System
that is my pride!

Collecting games in Brazil is realy a difficult task, perhaps impossible
to a lot of guys, due to our currency exchange rate against US dollars.
Our currency is almost 3x1 against US dollars. Imagine yourselves
paying $800 USD in a Nintendo DS inside USA? YES, it is absurd...
But this is the way things happens here.

Everything that come from other countries, get IMPORT TAXES
applied by customs of 60% fo total goods price PLUS shipping
charges. It's really a bad bad world.

I am just able to buy imports not because I am rich, no no...
I just work with web-design and website development
and I get sometimes customers from USA, this let me able
to use my PayPal to spend some USD in gaming gadgets!

We have a forum related to NES here in Brazil, it is a good
place too, however only in portuguese. If you guys want
to know something about it, just ask. Last month we made
the third annual forum reunion, with people from all country!
It was a great NES party! I have pics to show if someone
want to see.

Well, that's all until the moment.
Let me browse aaaalll the topics! There is a lot
of stuff to read!

All the best guys,
I hope to exchange a lot of words with you!

PS. Just found a topic were a guy called Manuel show
some games he got in Japan. Hey Manuel, you are my hero now!
You are doing what I ever dreamt to!

Hey there, welcome to NES Files. Just a few tips,
1. Try not to double post, use the edit button instead.
2. There's an introduction thread in Off-Topic.

Also, nice collection. :)

Now you're playing with power!

That's sick, a NES party man...there was talks about that before. A North American NES convention would be really cool, I'd fund a way to make that trip. The closest thing to that is a NES I got set up at my bro's internet cafe, local NES fanatics come down on thursday nights and play co-op games together. Post some pictures dude.

Ok ok!
First, thank you guys for your warm welcome!
Second, sorry for posting such a introduction on a wrong place.
There are a lot of sub-sections on this forum and I really
did not time yesterday to visit all ot it.

Recently I have been overloaded with work, I am a web developer
and a illustrator, working as freelancer with my girlfriend. Last
weeks we did get a lot of new work requests through our website.

That's cool!

I have few interesting things to discuss with you guys,
and also other interesting and curious things to show by pictures.

So, let's go Kangeki!
See you in the next area!

Hello!
I'm your hero.

Nice to make your acquaintance.

I saw from your pics that you got a very nice collection. Keep on the good work. 8)
Those exchange rates are really weird and make collecting a terrible task. Hey, America, do something against that! :x

If you have the chance, you should definitely try to get to Japan one time. Many Japanese live in Brazil, right? If you search well you might find cheap flights to Japan. The Japanese living in Brazil surely fly home once in a while and there should be at least one travel agency specialized in flights to Japan.
Japan is gamer's heaven!

I hope you like the forums and post a lot. It's cool to have friends all over the world to talk about gaming stuff.
:D
