u know what, in Japan resident evil isnt called residetnevil, its called Biohazard.

There was, however, a survival horror game for the NES called Suito Homu. It partially inspired Resident Evil. ... There is some debate as to whether or not it would be classified as survival horror, though.

You can find the rom RARed up if you click on the picture with the word F*cked on it. This game does like to freeze alot. The longest I could get it to run was in VirtuaNES. I'll have to try to get further without it freezing up later. The author of that page was right though, the attack system is kind of cool. It makes it hard, but it's still a good idea for a sort of real time RPG kind of attack system.
