What exactly is the reason for it being one of the more expensive, yet popular games? limited production? or just fun? any idea?

It's the same as Chrono Trigger. I think it's because it came out late into the Snes' life.... I'm not sure though.

All the rpg's sell well due to everyone playing them, and having such memories due to the stories, so, people who played them at 10-12, now are 22-25 and make salary, and don't give a crap what it goes for and just want the game, thus the bidding wars get started, wait up for the revolution, it'll be downloadable on it.

i was under the impression the more popular a game was the more copies were made. and that the worst games were rare because less copies were produced due to them sucking. thats just what i have been told so more than likely it isnt true. i am neevr in the loop :D

I think it came out in 1995., DKC 3 was low in sales because the N64 was already out when it was released, and granny kong or wtf her name is is playing a n64 when you go save
Just remembered, her name is wrinkly kong. ill leave granny kong in there for humour.

A lot of good games were released near the end of the SNES's life. One of my faves is Street Fighter Alpha 2... it's amazing that they could get it onto the system, but it's somewhat uncommon to come buy unless you simply buy it on E-Bay. http://www.etherealdivine.com
