I doubt DS emulation would be possible, unless someone could program a virtual touchpad... maybe it could use a tablet application.

There are some out there, none work well enough to play anything though, so it's hardly worth pursuing. http://emulator-zone.com/doc.php/nds/

DS Emulation is in its fetal stages. Right now you won't be able to play any games. Most emulators crash when a rom file is loaded. There are homebrew applications that will run. But you're out of luck if you want to play Nintendogs or something like that on your computer. I also heard rumors of being able to hook your DS up to your computer and doing some emulation like that, however, I'm not sure if that's even true. The big two emulators are/were iDeaS and Dualis. I'm not sure how alive the projects are. As far as I know a mouse would function fine as the stylus.

But how would it emulate the more advanced touchpad features, like blowing on it?

But how would it emulate the more advanced touchpad features, like blowing on it? You blow into the microphone, the touchscreen isn't sensitive enough to register breath.

I see... so, is there any way to emulate the microphone?

Yes, but blowing on it? How could that work?

exactly the same way it does on the DS? The software just picks up the sound of the air rushing over the mic.

Oh, okay. That would explain it. I wondered how it worked.
