I think this should go in the SNES forum as it began on it.

Which is your favourite Mario Kart?

It's kind of close between the first two for me, but i'd say mario kart 64. Great courses and 4 player fun. Double Dash didn't do much for me, it seemed like a step backwards.

i own all 4, and i must say my favorite is Double Dash. MK64 was good, but i love the 2 characters per kart thing in Double Dash, and the stages are great, kind of a rip off of the MK64 stages, but still a blast to play. the only thing about DD i didn't like is the battle stages, they were WAY too small and could of been so much better if they were the same size as MK64. i don't like SMK too much. it's good, but not great. MKSS was alright i guess, but not quite as good as SMK.

and now i gotta get a DS to play MKDS :D

This should be moved to "Mario" Fourm. Why have it under SNES when its talking about Mario kart in general. Anyways, I liked the 64 one the most. I have the most memories with it, and I find the levels more fun.

The SNES mario kart is my favourite. There's something about the green shell in that game that excites me. In strange ways.

Mario Kart 64. The one feature that puts it above the original is the 4 player mode. If the original had been 4 players I might have given a different answer. I have Double Dash but haven't played it too much. Couldn't get into it for some reason.

I own the first 3 on the list and my fav is the SNES version, closely followed by the N64 one. I couldn't get that much into Double Dash...
Maybe I'll get it on the DS some time...

May 16th...

I'm looking forward to the DS version. Apparently, it has some of the courses from the original game "remixed"

I voted for Mario Kart 64 because of the awesome multiplayer times I have had with it. Next would be the SNES one and the last two would be Double Dash and Super Circuit.

I would've chose the 64, it was simple and yet great. I hated the turns and tuff in the GCN and the SNES one seemed so bitter compared to new age

I've only played the SNES and N64 versions, but I have to say the SNES version is by far my favorite. The game is a lot more challenging, while being fairer than the easier N64 version.

In the N64 you can drive as good as you can, and still your opponents will be just behind you. On the other hand, if you make a mistake, they don't really drive far away from you.
