Does anyone know if there are any magazines out that focus on game collecting or retro games?

Hm. I don't know about any exclusively retro magazines, but EGM makes references to old-school games fairly often.

At my local "Chapters" I found a magazine called "Retro Gamer" but I can't find a website on them. seems they were just purchased by some other company, and are still in the conversion stages.

Unfortunately Retro Gamer isn't in print any more. There is some talk of another publisher bringing it back but it is looking unlikely at the moment. It's a shame because it was a decent magazine, although having said that I only ever bought 3 issues (it was quite expensive). It was a UK magazine so was a bit content heavy on the likes of Commodore 64 and Spectrum but still had a fair bit of coverage of the 8 and 16 bit consoles. The writers have put together a cd of the articles they had writen before the magazine went under. See here: http://www.retrosurvival.co.uk/Edit: after browsing the retro survival forums I see that Retro Gamer is being brought back by another publisher. http://forum.retrosurvival.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=987I'll have to buy a few more issues this time round!

Heepa! Here in Brazil EGM and Nintendo World (Brazil branches) have a special section each month about "Retro & Classic". Unfortunately sometimes we get people talking about Perfect Dark 64 as a retro-game... Oh my God. Why they no speak about Konami's Lone Ranger instead? (c: It is a pity, but most of retrogaming articles look like they were wrote for non-retrogaming people. People that never "lived & played" on that magic moments of the past! Cospefogo.

In Japan there's a nice magazine that deals with used games and it's called "yuugee" (Japanese abbreviation of "used games"). They deal mostly with retro stuff.
May 16th...

They have already sent out letters to the old subscribers asking if they want to re-subscribe. We have a couple of them around here (since my husband is a Spectrum nut). They are damn expensive! :o http://www.myspace.com/jennikisaI need friends.... I had to nix Tom. He wasn't really my friend. His smile "mocked" me.

Yeah the first issue is out early December. It is supposed to be a little cheaper this time around because they have scrapped the cover disc.
