I don't think it's a bad, if somewhat predictable, list. After all a fanboy like me is always pleased to see 7 Nintendo games in the top 10!

Well, yeah... it was totally predictable. From my understanding FFVII wins almost everything. I haven't really looked into their old lists, but characters from FFVII win alot of Favorite Characters lists as well. I guess Zelda games are huge to them over there also (not taking away from them). I think that list would be pretty acceptable if it was more like "The Top 100 Games - In No Particular Order." I still personally don't see how racing games can be great... never play much of them because they seem so boring to me. http://robertlbryant.com

Come on, FFVII better than Ocarina of Time, FFIII, Chrono Trigger? That guys must be kidding.
Apart from that mistake, that should be a pretty good list. Contains most of the classics.

Yup, Burnout 3 is sweet.
As for the list, it is probably predictable, but why is GTA San Andreas number 11? It's an ok game (though overated) but there are games below it that should be placed above GTA SA (i.e Super Mario World) at least in my opinion anyway.

Well, it's allright. I think the best "Best Games" list for a gaming magazine was Electronic Gaming Monthly's. Besides, after the "Best Games List", they had "Seanbaby's Crapstravaganza".

'Chrono Trigger' counts as half. I don't think it deserves "full credit" as a PS1 release, but it is officially part of that system's library. "daynum" wrote:After all a fanboy like me is always pleased to see 7 Nintendo games in the top 10! I only see 4 (unless you're counting stuff like 'Goldeneye'). There is just no justice in placing 'Final Fantasy VIII' 40 spots higher than 'Suikoden 2'. "Uber Newb" wrote:Well, it's allright. Besides, after the "Best Games List", they had "Seanbaby's Crapstravaganza". Actually, those lists were even worse. Maybe not in diversity but definitely in the "placement" (actually it wasn't all that diverse either). And Seanbaby is the worst thing to come out of "video game journalism". I sure hope that guy dies a slow painful death before polluting the gaming world with more of his extremely unfunny wannabe "zings". Screw him and his "clones" (and L. Ron Hubbard too). http://www.playthenes.com

I mean games on Nintendo platforms rather than games actually made by Nintendo. I know it makes little sense to refer to something like Chrono Trigger as a Nintendo game but like I said I'm a fanboy and we fanboys make little sense in our ramblings. "OneGenerationTooLate" wrote:..... there are TONS of games better than F-zero.. and most of the games on that list for that matter F-zero rules! Seeming as this is purely a popularity contest I'm surprised it made the top 100, but i'm glad it did. :P

And pretty well all of those NES games and a few of those SNES games were also released on other systems. Or am I missing something?

Most people would consider him to be the worst thing to come out of journalism, period. Which is why I'm a fan. If it wasn't for him, I would never know about the Megaman Robot Naming Comission. And I would never have heard of the conflict between PETA and the Austrian artist who blew up a cow corpse. ... Dammit, I don't get the Scientology reference.

Hm. I guess he is "in your face". I'd always just liked the sheer ludicrous-ness of what he wrote about. I particularly like the way he phrases things.
