Ok, heres the deal. I might get a PS2 for Christmas, so I was wondering what game should I get with it? I was thinking "Kingdom Hearts", but I'm not sure.

I think that's a safe bet. You could get Dragon Quest VIII, Soul Calibur 3. It depends what you like. Oh, and be sure to get fiddy cent's game. If there's the slightest chance you were considering getting Tekken 5 - don't. It's pants.
EDIT - Don't forget MGS Snake Eater.

Kingdom Hearts is awsome. But if you get that, I suggest gettting the walkthrough book. It comes with a checklist (with stickers) for a lot of things for the game. I honestly wouldn't have gotten as far a I did without it. Katamari is a great game too. It's really fun to play two player as well. http://www.myspace.com/jennikisaI need friends.... I had to nix Tom. He wasn't really my friend. His smile "mocked" me.

Just be careful with Vice City though... there is a bug. Co-Op... hmm. Tales of Symphonia has kind of a co-op fighting system, but the rest of the story isn't. Visit my Blog - Updated Nov 27th 2005

Too bad. My parents didn't care about me getting 18 rated games when I was younger, and didn't mind me going to the pub when I was 16 :P

Okay, listen. If you just want to have fun, all of the above games are good bets. However, if you want a game completely unlike anything else you have ever played, get Shadow Of The Colossus. I can't really describe it, other than the fact that it will blow you away. Definitely not for the mainstream gamer.

Definitely not for the mainstream gamer. One of my buddy's said it was like Zelda in some aspects.

In that it uses puzzle solving and exploration, yes. However, it uses those elements quite differently.
