Is anyonout there as mad as I am for all the non-adventure type mario games they have made? I am really mad that Nintendo has focused on stuff like copying DDR and they wonder why Sony and Mircrosoft are doing MUCH better then them.

I was ok when they came out with Mario cart and some of the early stuff, but now it's like Nintendo is only using him for remakes of Basketball games and stupid stuff like DDR! IT will totally take away from msot people wanting to buy or maybe even rellyon Nintendo, I was disappointed with how the GCN did with it's games. . .

Yeah, I hear that. I still do love the real Mario games though. Paper Mario 2 was really good, which shows they haven't given up making good games along side the crap.

Don't forget that he's in SSX On Tour on the GameCube too. As well as every other game that's ever come out for it...

Ok, maybe they gone a bit over board, but I know a lot of people who find the spin offs fun. They aren't like real sport games, so people who dislike sports to begin with, find themselfs loving the Mario sport games because you can do more stuff in them, and its not too seroius. Also, I'm glad they put Mario in DDR. If they didn't, it would've been like every other DDR game. I do dislike nintendo putting Mario in NBA Street 3, and SSX 3 though.

I played Mario Smash Football in a store yesterday and have to say it was pretty damn fun. Reminded me in many ways of Nintendo World Cup but with more players/special moves. I'll probably get it... in a year or so when it's cheaper (yes I'm a cheap skate).

Perhaps Nintendo put Mario in too many games. He especially doesn't fit into NBA Street 3 and SSX 3.
But from the point of playability all sports titles (as far as I could test them) with Mario are very good. Those are fun sports games you probably won't fin on other consoles.
If you don't like it, nobody forces you to buy it. Just ignore the Mario games. It's easy.

I completely agree. Mario has become a whore for Nintendo. (pardon the language) I love Nintendo and all, but jeebus, is it nessessary to put him in everything. It's almost like Nintendo is afraid Mario is going to die. He is the most classic character ever. He's not going anywhere. They should make nother SMB game though, another platformer, not like Smash Brothers or anything. That would be cool.

I'm literally angry with rage about all the sport spinoffs. Mario has the ability to fly with his hat and launch fireballs from his fingers. Hell, he may even have a huge hammer in his left pocket. Combine that and his skill with action commands, and you might as well classify it all as steroids. Such a divinely powered character has no place in sports games, no matter what special features they add to compensate. Leave him to gathering stars (in golden, crystal, or spirit form as they happen) and squishing goombas into nothingness. That's all i have to say.

If you think you're right, you're probably wrong.
If you think you're wrong, you're being negative.

Actually, on my return a month after posting the above reply, I have more. DDR and Mario were two things I used to thank God for having them not be combined. Seriously, in bed I would like go "Thank's God, for not combining the best games in the world with the worst." Then Satan somehow got a hold of the situation. Suddenly, Shigeru Miyamoto becomes his meat puppet and DDR Mario Mix comes out, and brinking me on the edge of homicidal tendensies. From what I can gather, there's an unusual version of the old underwater song, plus (you ready for this?)
XTREME MOZART!!! All probable misspellings aside, that took it too far. I went completely postal, then I decided to rant on every gaming forum I could find. And now I'm here... again.
