this is the story of how i got my new nes. if anyone has a more crazy story, please post it. at my friend's house last weekend, i noticed in his closet he had an nes box and a snes just sitting on top of it. i asked him if he had any good games and shocked he said, "what? for those? im just going to throw them away."  after fighting back the my screams :D i asked if i could check them out. turns out, there was a mint nes in the nes box. i mean mint! plastic looks brand new, not faded in the least, still has some gloss to it. my friend said that if i wanted them i could have them for a few bucks. nothing like a near brand new nes, in the box, and an snes with 5 games. most shocking thing: he was just gonna throw them away  guess he didn't know what he had :D :D :D

too many people throw video games away... they're worth keeping around if for no other reason than to know that you have them.

The only way I part with any video game stuff is through trading. My NES stuff is off limits, though. I only have one of each item, except the basic controller, of course. I think I'd snap somebody if they threw away my video games! http://robertlbryant.com

I've received many things for free by those who are about to throw it away. My old youth pastor gave me a bunch of NES games and a recent friend just gave me an old Power Glove that was in his garage.

The most rare peripheral I have is the Power Pad. That thing wears you out quick! http://robertlbryant.com

Not if you sit down, and move your feet around on it while remaining seated... ;-) I have both peripherals... -- Derek

My friends dumped pretty much every nintendo game I have including Super Mario 3, Blaster master, Zelda, Final Fantasy, and both Double Dragons. Not too bad...

It is probably not as surprising or anything but when I was 4 or 5, I used to love just looking around my house for stuff, just digging in closests and stuff, I went in my Grandmother's room and found the NES deep in the closet, my older bro told me about it saying if he could find cords to it, I could have it. I found the cords but all I had was like 3 games, over the summer, I went to my cousins and he gave me like 20 more games! He gave me his gun for Duck hunt but it does not work :(
