Xbox.
Halo alone makes it worthwhile. I swear I played Halo every weekend with a LAN for about 6 months straight with a group of guys before our Xbox was fried and everybody else got Xbox Live.
The Controller S is superior to the PS2 and Gamecube except for a few genres.

yeah right! the GameCube controller is the best controller to date. (aside from the NES controller, but we won't count that one )

You are exactly the reason I dislike the XBox... I love mine, but only because it rarely sees any Halo. I occasionally pop halo 2 in there when I need to experience total mediocrity.

Play a real game, something that's ACTUALLY good, like Jade Empire, Ninja Gaiden, Fable, Burnout 3...

Better than the S? arguably, I have giant hands, so the Cube controller isn't my ideal, but I won't say the S is the second coming of Christ (in video game controller form) I would say that about the 360 controller though... I can't help but fondle that thing up every time I see one.

Notice the XBOX Controller S is almost the same as a Dreamcast controller, 2 analouge sticks, 1 D-Pad, A,B,X,Y, in the same position, L and R Triggers, and two memory slots. The only difference is the position of the START button, the BACK button and the Black and White Buttons, and that there is no "screen" for the Memory cards.

I kinda noticed that too. As for the Dreamcast controller, I like that, the VMU's were cool. 8)

I have to agree. I think the VMU's were a great idea and I thought they would start a huge memory card revolution and everyone would make VMU's.........But it didnt.....so................

... the only way the "S" and DC pad are related at all beyond features that have been on every controller for the past 10 years is the two "memory unit" slots, and the analog triggers.

The DC only has one analog stick, if you've ever used one...

EVERYTHING in history has one d-pad, with the exception of the Virtual Boy, it had two.

ABXY position is also MUCH too standard to claim as a similarity between just those two pads.

I choose XBOX.

Reason # 1 -

Reason # 2 -

And there you go.

If I were basing the systems purely on exclusive game libraries, I would probably take both the PS2 and GameCube ahead of it. In this battle however, the hardware (and what can be done with it) is the main factor for my decision.

deffinately PS2
If you know what you are doing you can easily do anything on the x-box
there are programs like HDLOADER and you can get free cracked versions that work of a memory card so u can save games onto your HDD withought a chip. You can easily emulate any system (if you want proof you can find it on google i was playing windwaker on my ps2 a lil while ago)* note i am unsure bout the x-box but who cares x-box is a one game system and halo is a garbage game anyways its just over rated. Best Game Library with thousands of games from all the ps1 games and all of the ps2 games and if you unlock the regions using a chip you can get any sony manufactured game ever.Ps2 mod chips cost less. And free ps2 online with rocks. There are only a few games that you pay for and thats FF11 Online and Everquest 1&2
And You can Hold me by any of this because im a Modder and i know what im doing

OK, that's a giant lie, and completely impossible no matter what you try to tell me.

Secondly, either put some thought into your posts or stop posting, I can't even read your crap.

This is my official warning, I'm already considering more severe action.

I just Googled for gamecube emulators and got a few hits, and I can't see why this is impossible. If there are genuine GC emulators, and ROMs available then why should this not work?

Maybe Carnage could elaborate on this ... please?

I agree somewhat with NesLuke. I find it quite impossible to emulate a GC ISO (or ROM) in a PS2. Emulators are scarce and some don't even play all the games. I think I would appreciate a picture of that really happening for me to believe.

I agree again. It's very difficult to read this crap you write (err- type). Follow grammatical rules once in a while. Or at least TRY to spell correctly..

Because a PS2 is less powerful than the Gamecube, and if you have ever exeirenced slowdown for a god damned SNES emulator on the dreamcast, try runnng a gamecube game on hardware that can't even support what it's trying to play.

I voted XBOX. ONLY because of the many possibilities.......(music, Mods, Mods, Mods, etc...) I'm a gadget guy and I love possibilities. GameCube is better (for obvious reasons). PS2 Does have A-LOT of games and about 1/4 of them are really good.

Yes. All the emulators I have for now are perfect speed.
(Ex xSNES9x > DreamSNES)

The only one's that have issues are the N64 and PS1, but that's usually graphical errors or sound-skip problems and not game speed.

It's pretty much the same as playing emulators on a PC with a 733 Mhz Pentium 3 (or other equivalent) with the added bonus of having a nice controller, TV connection, and that "console feel" to it.

No offense carnage, but from now on everything you say is wrong.

Delightfully blunt as always, ZEN.

Carnage, spelling mistakes are forgivable, if you're really trying. However, could you please write in actual sentences? Pretty please? With sugar on top?

...And a cherry?
