It requires you to beat an entire game?
Well, as long as it's a good one, there won't be any complaints.

I really liked the "quick and dirty" challenges though.

But you can't expect a great prize for some quick game.
Beating a whole game is the least you shoukd do for winning the prize.

Is the prize a copy of the game by any chance?
I'll give it a bash, especially as it is such a good game. I may even do not as badly as usual.

Okay, I'm pretty much putting an end to the "crown members" thing right now. It just seems like too much of a hassle. Now I guess we could treat these challenges as more of a game of the week thing. I kind of wanted to avoid that, since it's on every other forum out there... but Rabidshark had suggested it some time ago, and there was some interest in it.

Basically what I'm asking is this:

Would you like to take turns between members picking games every week or two, or would you rather the mods keep picking the games? I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but I think I should ask.

I kind of think it should be split between the mods & the members. The mods think up great challenges (Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, difficulty-wise, was a fantastic choice). But members should be given a choice sometimes, too, as maybe some members only have a certain console they would like to see a challenge on, and don't get the whole emulator/ROM thing (I know I didn't understand it for the longest time).

I think whoever wins the challenge should get to choose the next game as a prize. That includes mods. Therefore, everybody wins. Those who participate are actively rewarded, and continue to participate. Hopefully, it would also encourage a wide variety off games suggested.
