The hard drive is removable. But how big physically is the hard drive? Can you have two hard drives hooked up to move information (or how would one copy save games/stats from one hard drive to another? Are they hot swappable, if you copy a save game to memory and to another hard drive)? Are the hard drives lap top (3.5") size or "regular" size? The memory cards were just so convienent because they fit in the game case. http://www.myspace.com/jennikisaI need friends.... I had to nix Tom. He wasn't really my friend. His smile "mocked" me.

If you want memory cards that badly, you'll have to shell out the extra $100. Of course we don't even know what can access what drives... memory cards may only be usable to copy photos/music and such from a camera or MP3 player.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4768829.stm I tried the "closed caption" linking method, but it didn't like it, and returned a 404 error. :? Anyway, Sony has announced the game above. It seems pretty...odd. I'm not sure how well it will work. Any thoughts?

Well, if they market it right in Japan, the otaku will go crazy over it. Other than that... no. Just, no. The large majority of american consumers wouldn't be caught dead with that. Maybe they could aim it at Live-Action Roleplayers and Everquest addicts.

You can bring your HDD over (which is very nice... not), or maybe they'll make something along the lines of "send your save to your friend" or something like that. Either way, memory cards would be better or maybe they let you put saves on USB sticks? :?:

Now that's just plain cruel. People need options (especially lower priced ones). http://www.myspace.com/jennikisaI need friends.... I had to nix Tom. He wasn't really my friend. His smile "mocked" me.

The PS3 was officially delayed to March 2007 in Europe! They say it's due to manufacturing problems with the BluRay diodes. That's good for: Nintendo, Microsoft, HD-DVD companies That's bad for: Sony Sony already has a very bad reputation in Europe and with that move it won't be getting any better. We get ripped off in Europe anyways with a price of over 800$ (!!! you can buy a used car for that price!) and then they delay it a whopping 4 months... Not that I would mind. They still say PS3 will release on time in the US and Japan, but I wouldn't wonder if they delayed that too a bit. Sorry, but the source is in German. http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/77785Edit: Germany's biggest electronic store chain "Media Markt" had a leaflet in all major newspapers last week stating that you "only get a PS3 on November 17th if you preorder fast" and give 'em a downpayment of 50 Euro (over 60$, nice interest-free loan for them, eh?) in advance. I wonder how many stupid kids went there and laid down their 50 only to know soon that they'll have to wait 4 months longer.

Sony's response to the delay: http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/730/730812p1.htmlThing is the PS3 will probably outsell the 360 and Wii in the UK whatever Sony does because... there are a lot of idiots here.

Yes, but there's still hopes that the older idiots will be too cheap, and that the parents of the child idiots will slap them for wanting something so damn expensive.

I don't think very many parents would shell out 600$/800$(in Europe) for a game machine. That price is just hilarious, no matter how much "value" you get for it.
edit: Wow. The PS3 delay made it to the evening new on (at least) 2 stations. I never thought they'd say that on TV news... quite bad publicity for Sony there (and they deserve it).

I don't care about resolution that much, but that's a lot of broken promises from Sony. Till now haven't they broken every single promise they made? (Except one, the high price. :P )

Revive the old thread! PS3 for cheap at Don Quijote.(kotaku)Japanese store chain "Don Quijote" (cool stores, I loved to go there after classes) sells 20GB PS3s with "20% off", resulting in a price of 39800 Yen, or 328US$/385CAD/253Euro/166 British Pounds. Would you buy one for that price? I would NOT, because there isn't a single game out that would interest me. Nor is one announced. FF13 might be nice, but I don't like where the FF series is heading... too much FMVs. I prefer Dragon Quest in every aspect, even if graphics are clearly worse. No games on PS3 for my taste... :( Wii also doesn't have many good games yet, but at least there are some out that catch my interest. I've played and enjoyed Wii Sports, Zelda, Rayman and Wario Ware. Apart from that Super Monkey Ball and Elebits look interesting. (That's all from my personal viewpoint of course) From the announcements for this year Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Dragon Quest Swords and Crystal Chronicles sound very promising... The 360 has about 2-3 games I'm interested in. Blue Dragon, Oblivion and Kameo perhaps. Not enough yet to make me want it...
