Can you even connect a PS3 via RF? :?: Just wondering...
I'd have to play it on a 15" TV set... Not too spectacular, too.

I have no idea, it was a blatant joke.

I have seen an RF adaptor for XBOX360... If there isn't one for PS3 already, there probably will be one soon.

The PS3 has the standard Playstation AV jack on it, so you can use an RF adapter from the PS1 if you so felt the need.

That's convenient.
At least they are thinking of the people who still use old TVs.

Even though anybody thinking of getting a PS3 to play it on a RF only TV should be sodomized brutally with a large diameter object for several days. Priorities! :P

A look at my signature says 1.71 million. (If that's correct)

I believe most owners have HD sets. Why afford such an expensive console and not a TV set that can display HD graphics?

Oh yeah, European PS3 release news:
The first 500,000 gamers who register their consoles on the PlayStation Network will get a copy of the BluRay disc "Casino Royale". That's way better than the US pack-in Talladega Nights, but still can't make up for the huge markup Europeans are going to pay.

The PS3 wasn't released in Europe yet.
It's March 23 afaik.

I guess there will be a lot of consoles on eBay when it comes out.
But that's not the problem. You only get the movie when you register with the Playstation network. It's not a pack-in.

Penny Arcade makes $13,200 finding PS3's, takes up SCEA Presidents 'bet'

---

http://kotaku.com/gaming/kotaku-magu/kotak...1200-235204.php

first, an interview in EGM.

he says he'll pay anyone $1,200 per PS3 they can find sitting on a store shelf for more than 5 minutes.

so Gabe and Tycho take him up on the offer, and here are the results:

http://www.penny-arcade.com/images/2007/20070210.jpg

took them 1 hour, a couple stores, 11 consoles. As of yesterday they had 8 just chillin, man that would be mad bank

The problem is the interview was about a month before the Penny Arcade thingy.
The guy said something stupid, but he was saying that to the interviewer, not to Gabe and Tycho. If they want that money they have to interview Tretton again and make him say the same words again.
BTW, he said he'd give him 1200 for a PS3. But of course you'd have to buy all the PS3s first, so if you include tax you won't even get 600$ per console for him, let alone 1200. It's a logical mistake by PA. Think about it.

I read the latest EGM on Monday, and this was the cover story. It was a huge multiple-page article with EGM constantly cutting them down about the negativity surrounding the console and the broken promises with this guy here performing a laughable cocky defensive effort.

"I've played a lot of games that had a vibration feature, and it personally wasn't all that compelling to me. We feel that vibration is not part of our future."

How would they get female players to play without vibration?
...
Sorry, that HAD to be said.

Now seriously... that guy's a moron who's not in touch with the real world any more. Only my 2 cents.
If he feels rumble is not necessary, that's one thing. But thousands of people in message forums (=potential customers) would love rumble. What do you choose, Sony?

Today I had a chance to lay hands on a PS3. (Man is that thing heavy)
I played Virtua Tennis in a store, on a 70" Full-HD panel.
It sure looks nice. Great graphics, no question.
Some time in the future I'll make sure to buy a HD panel, but not yet.
I still prefer Wii Tennis though. I'm not that much of a Tennis game fanatic.

so about a week ago, my brother bought a PS3, i dont know why....

anyways, i thought id take it over and play Gran Turismo 4, with the wheel,
as we have a large tv that supports 1080p.

i go in game, thinking, this doesnt look any different.
so i go into the options, i change it to 1080...

looked almost worse,

all the textures really blowed.

it looked kinda like auto Modellista but a little less cartoony.

"Super Metroid"
all thats needed.

Perhaps it's better to try a PS3 game for the really good graphics.
What games did your brother get with the console?

none yet, but we're borrowing resistance and virtua fighter.

he mainly got it, because of metal gear solid 4, but thats not exclusive anymore, except i bet he would want to play it as soon as he can.
because the 360 version is supposed to come out later.

im gonna wait for the 360 one, because i think that VR Missions are almost the best about Metal Gear.

"Super Metroid"
all thats needed.

It appears that a cut price model is to appear in Europe:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7030164.stm

£300 with a 40 gig HD but no backwards compatability......still, this may bring me one step closer to buying one, as they are now at a more resonable price.
What do you guys think? Is this going to help sony at all?
