I've never heard anyone talking about this so it might have only gotten a PAL release or is just largely unknown.

It's a sidescrolling platformer and the story is that this characters (alien?) spaceship has crashlanded and now you have to collect all these parts through out the land for a radio or the spaceships engine or something. At one point in the game it showed this grid of 6 or 9 blocks so you could see how many parts you still had to collect.

The character sprite wasn't that large and there was atleast one forest stage with big tree braches.

It's been over 10 years since I last saw it so some details are probably more than a little off.

You can suggest games with a theme of "collecting pieces of something at the end of the maps". I know it wasn't Flintstones - Rescue of Dino & Hoppy.

Thanks!

I also thought it sounds a lot like Solar Jetman, but that doesn't fit into the "sidescrolling platformer" category.

I found it!

That Linus Spacehead character always seemed oddly familiar but ingame wasn't at all. So by accident I checked out this multicart Quattro Adventure and it had a different version of Linus Spacehead! There's no story but in the first level where you start, your spaceship is crashed in the bottom of an ocean and you collect pieces of a radio. And it has the forest level which is above water.

It seems like a dumbed down version of the original, maybe an alpha or beta and is missing lots of stuff like the "commands menu" or perhaps just a quick hack from the developer for cash.

So thanks anyway guys.

PS. I told you it was a hard find.

Doh! I should have known that. I was palying it only a few weeks ago. That first level (with the bubbles) is annoying.

*slaps head*

I know what you mean about that first bubble part. Jeremiah loves the way that game looks, and he tries to play it sometimes. It always ends up with me having to get him past that bubble part because he falls to the bottom when he gets halfway up. It even takes me a few tries to get up that damn level.

Ha! I was actually thinking of being a smart-ass on this thread and asking if the game was Astronaut Forest, but then thought better of it. Only a couple of people here would've even known what I was talking about :P In retrospect, I wish I would've

You need to be more specific, it's 'Astronaut Forest 10'.

If you ever become a game programmer, seriously consider making that game. Just let Jeremiah come up with all the "ideas" (levels, weapons, boss names, etc).

I'd play it.
