Don't know about common, but my absolute favorites are Herzog Zwei ( awesoime), MUSHA, Elemental Master (so sue me), and you just can't go wrong with either Earthworm Jim game.

This game is REALLY good. I played it a while back. The action never stops and the graphics are fantastic.

"GODZILLA" wrote:Streets of Rage Roth will debate this, but I think the first two Streets of Rage games suck. The third however, is excellent.

LandStalkerDeep adventure game from a 3-quarters perspective (like 'Super Mario RPG' or 'Solstice'). It has (dare I say it) "Zelda style" game play but with a healthy dose of platform jumping. The dialog is hilarious and very well written. Sometimes I think of this as being the single greatest game ever made. It's definitely my top choice for the Sega Genesis. Phantasy Star IVSega's top RPG. Much like 'Dragon Warrior' in terms of battles but with much more depth. The story is excellent. I strongly suggest playing through the first two games in the series though before this one, because 'PS4' is a continuation of the original story. It's still a great starter game for anyone who's interested in the amazing Phantasy Star saga. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 + Sonic & KnucklesTwo separate carts, but put them together to form the finest and most complete Sonic side-scroller you'll ever play. M.U.S.H.A.Overhead scrolling shooter. Very challenging but playable. Some of the best graphics and music of the early Genesis era. The 3-D effect of the of the deep lava trench on stage 3 still looks amazing even today. Star ControlTurn-based strategy game with real-time battles. Pilot a team of different space crafts through a very cool looking rotating star field, colonizing planets and gathering resources to build even more powerful ships. Play as the good guys or the bad guys (it's your choice). Streets of Rage 2Still the best console beat-em-up I've ever played. Similiar to 'Final Fight' but bigger, longer, and with more characters and a better variety of fighting techniques. Wonder Boy in Monster WorldSide-scrolling adventure. Should definitely appeal to the 'Zelda' fans (but plays more like 'Metroid'). Gunstar HeroesI guess this game is okay. http://www.playthenes.com

Well, it's taken me a while to work up the courage to admit this, but... I love Mutant League Hockey. Kill me now... You want a sucky brawler, just try CombatTribes...

Here are some that may or may not have been listed
NHL Hockey '94 and/or '95 (many prefer '94, but I prefer '95 because of season mode) Strider Castlevania Bloodlines Revenge of Shinobi Pirates! Gold Beyond Oasis (kinda short, but Zelda-ish) Rocket Knight Adventures Castle of Illusion (starring Mickey Mouse) World of Illusion (starring Mickey and Donald)
It's a sad thing that your adventures have ended here!!
