The music was powerful, eerie, and fit perfectly. However, a lot of brawler fans I know disliked the sometimes cheap and very punishing difficulty levels.

I also liked MERCS a good bit. If you like Ikari Warriors you would probably like MERCS.

Shinobi III Return of the Ninja Master is a must play!!!!!!
And also Comix Zone is a great game to play as well and has great music.

No one's mentioned the Strike series. Those games were just good fun. However, I would only really recommend Desert and Urban Strike. Jungle Strike can kiss my ass. "Find the Terrorists"... stupid Washington DC.

I gave the Golden AXE series a try, and like most others I have to say, they are pretty good.
Similar opinion also holds for GUNSTAR HEROES.
I alos gave the Road Rash series a try, but I have to say they suck. Maybe this is because I played the PC version first, so I am now unable to develop a liking for the Genesis series.

Ha! You're damn right I remember Skitchin'... I own it :) The music in that game is sweeter than sweet. That's one of my most played Genny carts that I have. Definitely a fun game!

Don't worry, I also despise Ikari Warriors. The only one that was worth anything was Ikari III. That was a cool game. The other two are absolutely awful, glitch-ridden carts.

......first generation Genesis titles are my favorite, and besides include some of the best games of Sega's prime in arcades...get these first and then you could start collecting...
