http://www.mininova.org/sub/4Though downloading commerically released games is PIRACY, and is ILLEGAL and you could go to JAIL for doing it. so you'll be STEALING at your own risk.

I was told by a friend that a 'properly' ripped and burned DC game requires no boot disk. I have heard that the 'cdi' extension using padus disc juggler are the discs that generally do not require a boot disk. 'Properly' does not mean correct, it just means that if done with certain tools that you don't require a boot disk, however, if somebody does not use those tools they will need a boot disk. I have heard they're only needed when trying to play burned imports.

Checking some of those links... I just noticed that 'Ikaruga' is only a 20 MB download. How is that possible? I realize that it's a compressed file (so it should actually be closer to 35-40 MB) but that seems unusually small for a DreamCast game that looks as good as 'Ikaruga' does. http://www.playthenes.com

Actually depending on compression, the Ikaruga packages can be as small as 17MB. they are valid, working rips. it was one of the first DC games I ever downloaded, purely because of the size. I had no idea what the game was at the time. As for HOW it's that small... I haven't a clue. The image I have on my super secret FTP is 17.2MB when compress in the RAR format. But after extraction, the resulting CDI image is 773MB.
