Around my friends, I am considered a god of the first Mario. That's probably because I hang out with morons but anyway: I have deduced that the reason I am talented at that game is due to a mutation caused by hours of painful gameplay at it. I seem to have developed a sort of whole-new 6th sence for the platformer. I call it "Finger Memory." Because I respond to a specific image on the screen in the exact same way time after time. This is probably caused by the fact that enemies are almost always generated in the same exact place again and again. So what I'm wondering is, has anyone else expierienced this creepy mind-melding with Super Mario Brothers 1? If not, then with another classic game they love? I'm just trying to see if I'm some kinda Mario Mutant here, or if it's common. (Shock! Awe!)

If you think you're right, you're probably wrong.
If you think you're wrong, you're being negative.
My thoughts are definitive; the universe is frequently wrong.

These "magic fingers" you speak of, it's called "repetition". It's not a medical breakthrough or anything. :

I'm the same way with the games Amplitude and Frequency. My fingers move faster than my conscience thoughts.

I need friends.... I had to nix Tom. He wasn't really my friend. His smile "mocked" me.

Yeah, it's the same as someone who has a job on an assembly line...except that playing Super Mario Bros. is actually fun!

I reject your definition of 'fun', for no other reason than to be anal retentive. How do you know that an assembly line can't be fun? How do you know that hours of poorly paid and backbreaking labor does not bring a satisfaction tat could loosely be termed as enjoyment?

I used to work on a assembly line (or at least something similar) and the main reason it wasn't "fun" was because I had to do it for up to 12 hours a day. I don't think many people would enjoy SMB if they were forced to play it 12 hours every day (with the possible exception of andrewg).

Assembly line arguements. Yeah that's always fun.

I guess I'm just the only person I know who isn't to retarded to develop this thing. Being that one of my friends is always going "DEH DEH DEH DEH DEH!" And another one describes resident evil 4 as "Berrrlalalerrrro."

But serioulsly, that's like, exactly how they are. Not to say that I'm different, as the guy is constantly afflicted with vertigo, spontainiously falling down all the time.

To those sort of people I always seem a little otherworldly. One even claims that I float when I run. Anyhow, I'm going to get the one with the Resi 4 commment to join this thing. He always like game talkin'.

I hope he can write a decent sentence (and not call RE4 - Berrrlalalerrrro), or he won't last long around here....
