"killerdiablo" wrote:i have a dreamcast with 24 original games and 3 controllers :) and visual memory is it possible to play a saturn game on ryo's saturn in his house if yes tell me how plz btw i live in holland and own shenmue2 it was released here but it has japanese speech and english subtitles first, You have to earn winning cans from soda machines. the only place I was able to earn them from is Yokosuka harbor; particularly, the first soda can machine you see when you arrive there every time (it's near the security booth, if you need more direction). Then, take them to the tomato convience store in Sakuragaoka & give one to the clerk. you already know about the raffles at some of the stores, but at this one, you can earn Saturn games! :D Look at the prize poster near the door, at the very top. you'll see saturn games as the top prizes. But there's a catch :shock: , like the other topprizes at the other stores, they're the hardest prizes to get, hence them being at the top :x . you know the drill from here. get a bunch of winning cans, then raffle, raffle, raffle. I earned Space Harrier, but I didn't want to save.

Not quite so, the official servers are down yes, but there is at least one private server for both PSOs. http://schtserv.funurl.com/You do need a codebreaker disc for it, however i do have a working ISO of it, its just a matter of hosting. It's not too too big, if you want it or want to host it please gimme a e-mail. It burns with Nero 5 and back, as 6 and forward has protections, however a simple run over to http://www.oldversion.com should let you use the trial to burn. As for trying it out, as yet I haven't, my brother lent his DC to someone and is getting it back soon, which has a Broadband adapter (would be very nice for ver. 2 online play), but the general opinion is it's quite decent. I have Ver.2, would I still have to pay? & would I have to pay to use the server?

I don't know about your question, Gautami. I did happen to notice your sig. It's a bit dirty looking, but I resized your avatar for you. Maybe you could fix it up, or if someone else around here is feeling nice enough, they could get the blurry look out of it. http://robertlbryant.com

I cleaned it up :) Roth just didn't turn of interpolation, which tries to smooth things out, personally, it's an effect I dislike. please save it and upload it somewhere else before using it though, as I may move things around on my imageshack account in the future.

I used to own one. I hated how the cord came out of the controller. So it went bye, bye! I only bought it to begin with because I wanted to try Space Channel 5 (Ulala is sooo cute!). Sadly I couldn't get the hang of the game. I kept the game though even after getting rid of the Dreamcast. I couldn't part with her. :) http://www.myspace.com/jennikisaI need friends.... I had to nix Tom. He wasn't really my friend. His smile "mocked" me.

I own a dreamcast. They are great systems and are usually pretty cheap. As for games, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver is a good game. Crazy Taxi is OK as well. As for accessories, get a VMU. Be warned that it uses a lot of power from the CR2032s. The basic memory card (looks like VMU, but has orange sticker where screen should be) sucks. It erases all your data as soon as you disconnect it from the controller. Hope this helps!

I just recently got my Dreamcast, And i have to say, it totally kicks ass! Probably my second favourite system, second only to the N.E.S.! I cant believe it failed, even though it totally beat the PSX and N64s faces into the dirt.

I've had a DC for a good 4 maybe 5 years now, and I've decided to get back into collecting; worse thing is, I sold off my favourite games, Shenmue I and II a few months ago, good thing is though, I kept my save files, though I will be playing through them again.
At the mo, my collection is measly to say the least(due to mass sell off). All I have left are Chu Chu Rocket, Sonic Adventure 1, Skies of Arcadia and Soul Calibur(jap). However, over the past few days I have bought off ebay;
Jet Set Radio, RE: Code Veronica, PSO, Tee Off, Sega Bass Fishing with Rod and MSR, all for the handsome sum of £26!!!
I have a list of about 45 games I must get for the DC, but I foresee the purchase of others not from the list, just like todays purchases.
BTW, I have heard that Shenmue II is not playable properly on NTSC due to the differences in the TV's and what not. However, if you burn it from the net, you will not get the speech ingame, and only the subtitles, iirc. Shenmue II is vastly superior to I, and yes, your figures, moves, items, diary, dates......are all transferred to it with your save.

The Dreamcast I got a few days ago is freaking awesome. There are a load of good games, including some good shooters and 2d fighters. Everybody should buy one. Seriously. I'd forgotten how amazing it was. I wish I hadn't got rid of the one I had when they were first released, I had a good collection of games and hope to build up a good collection with this one. Now to get the Shenmues and kiss goodbye to my life for a while. Buy one.

Then you'll definitely need this book: The title is "Dreamcast is the best in the world" The book contains a complete list of Dreamcast hardware, accessories and games up to August 2001. There were a handful of games released after that, but still it seems like a pretty complete guide. BTW, I will buy that book once I have money again. That may take a while though. I had to buy a big load of books already for my thesis.

When I buy it I'll buy 2, ok? Unfortunately I don't know when this will be. Just wait a bit. When I order it from Japan while I'm in Germany you'd have to pay postage twice. (from Japan to Germany and then from Germany to Canada) Be patient and I'll try to fetch you a copy. :) edit: They have the book on play-asia for 26.90$. I'd get that if I were you. If you're kind you order that via this link: http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-32hv-71-lu-77-8-49-en-15-dreamcast-84-j-70-ina.htmlThis is an affiliate link of mine. :o

yeah the Dreamcast is truly a great and seriously underated system...it seems to me that the 3d rendering engine is perhaps a bit cleaner lookin' on this thing than the PS2...no jaggies on dreamcast... if ur lookin to obtain this wonderful machine I seriously recommend a japanese version...so many great games... I actually own both american, and a japanese one I got before it was even released stateside...I just couldn't wait for House of the Dead 2... Does anyone know perhaps why games like Daytona USA 2 and Super GT were not released on the system or where they....? I think some would argue that Dreamcast didn't handle model 3 arcade hardware aswell (noting that the system was centered around Sega's Naomi board..) ...but what do you call F355 Ferrari challenge and Virtua Fighter 3!!..those games were arcade perfect on the system...

I have a Japanese and a European Dreamcast. Both were so cheap I just had to pick those up. :) It's true that graphics are really nice on the DC and I personally don't even need much better graphics. I'm content with the level of "this generation".
